What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

The Midland

Philadelphia

The South

North Central

The Northeast

The West

I forget what I scored the last time I took this test. But I know my dialect is Hudson Valley. You've probably heard it on TV; to me, Rod Serling has no accent.

I got "Midland," too--but they did mention that "Midland" could include Florida. It's good in a way to know I don't have an accent, though. I always thought I sounded Southern, but then I never hear myself talk. Or maybe I just have a tin ear and answered the questions wrong.

Northeast, of course. Sometimes, they pin me right down to NYC.

And, of course it's soda. And sprinkles and a hero.

Heh, I have NO idea what they're called in Florida - I got that from Indiana, growing up here in my formative speaking years.
