My coworkers are so helpful...so late. Sigh. I've been asking around all week for vets and no one says a word. So naturally today when I'm talking about Roy they're like why didn't you use the one here near the school and then proceeds to tell me that the one I chose is the most expensive around and that she's not well liked (thanks guys. I did say I was taking the cat there. That would have been nice to know earlier)
To be honest I was singularly unimpressed with the office. it was cramped and shack-like as I mentioned. So I did call the vet that they belatedly suggested and it was cheaper signficiantly. Naturally. So I call up to cancel his neutering and they did it yesterday! It was all I could do to not lose my temper. That cat was in no way in shape to withstand anesthesia yesterday. Yes he needed to go under to have his wounds treated but there was no reason not to get a day or two of antibiotics in him first. I'm livid. As far as I'm concerned Roy's health was compromised. (what did they think I'd come to my senses about the price and say forget it?)
I said I'll be there to collect him on monday (at least I'll save a little on boarding) I don't trust his condition to bring him home now. I'll switch to the vet down here since everyone loves her. Sigh.

Even an idiot like me knows you don't operate on anything that's alive when it's sick. o.o Definitely don't go back there. Apparantly, they're in it for the money, not the well-being of the animal.

(comes in this iris color, but also pearl and titanium) Star has one of these and she loves it. the litter area in the interior is nice and deep and bigger than most traditional boxes, but it is nice looking, and private. People don't look at it and immediately go Ew... litter box. haha.. but the most important thing is that the steps out of the box keep litter from being tracked as much, and you can just stick the vacuum hose into the steps and suck up the strays on the steps before they accumulate enough to be tracked much. Star loves it and I love it too. Mine is light brown. That Iris one though... matches my living room.. I might go get one.
