rethinking Milwaukee - attention fellow profs

I've decided to apply since putting my eggs in the Marietta basket doesn't seem wise. My problem with Milwaukee is I don't want to live in a city. Then it was like DUH there ARE 'burbs after all. And Milwaukee does have things to recommend it
Museums
beer
cultural events such as Irish and Native American fests (HUGE fests at that)
beer
theatre
beer
Summerfest (an incredible week of live music)
beer
close proximity to chocolate fest
beer
close proximity to Indian gambling
beer

so I ask my fellow profs (or anyone out there) know anything about ability based teaching? I can't wrap my head around this. My parents were going over the site with me And we said at the same time OMG the 70's live. I can't get touchy-feely teaching to jive with a Nun-run school!

My dad had just one thing to say. "you're a tree-hugging liberal. you belong in Wisconsin. You won't find a more perfect school..."

I'm not that heavy of a drinker, but I can tell you we Irish are fond of the Guinness and are generally not shy about other alcohol.

*LOL* We Irish can get really nuts at times. Remember....they call us the Fighting Irish for a VEWWY good reason.

Gerry used to claim we Irish would fight anyone, anywhere, anytime, for any reason or no reason at all...simply because we CAN! And I would chime in with "because it's there!"
