I went and looked at the jobs today once more. After eliminating places I know I can't afford and places I'm not desparate enough to live in I'm left with this.

One in Wisconsin

One in PA (that I'm not a good fit for)

Four in OH (the one I interview for this week, two that are open admission branches which means yeah I'll be getting the same class of students I have at #4, where I am right now)

and about Four in Florida, including one that does sound promising near Tampa called St. Leo's.

now I'm going to look at cost of living. Yes, I really didn't want to return to Florida or stay in OH. But you have to go where the jobs are.

And a lot of those jobs I mentioned before (not listed above) are one year teaching tracks which is worse than what I have now

I was at the Farmer's Market today and snagged some info about the York, PA, area if you'd like some of it. I actually picked up the stuff about York's large snack food makers for my friend in MA (Foxonian, not Flipyon) and while I was there, I noticed the "Moving to York" info guide and other crap.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the Fairy Festival - a big Pagan/New Age/Hippie thing every May Day.

YAY for PA! We'd practically be neighbors. :D I lived there for two years and loved it, once I got used to the occasional snow. I miss it.

actually so do i. I haven't checked there but there rarely ARE ones in New England in general (unless we count NY)
