And I don't have glaucoma. It read high last time but it's perfectly normal. He figured I tensed up on the stupid puff of air one.

As for the new glasses...I don't love them. They are pretty. However, they are like having a ton sitting on my nose. They are SO heavy. I did get the lightweight polycarbs but not the super duper lightweights since it was more than my insurance pays for and let's face it, glasses suck hard anyhow. I never wear them so it's a waste.

But the real reason i don't love them is they're so damn tiny. I have NO peripheral vision. It's a joy having to turn your head majorly to merge onto a highway. Thank god for contacts.

Yayz for the negative test! One less thing you have to worry about.

Glasses suck, but I can't live without them. The heavier ones leave itchy marks that never go away. I'll back you up on the tiny lenses with the no parephrial vision. If you're a squirrel on the side of the road, sucks to be you. *splat*

I do regret not being able to wear them myself. They molded my eyes to a better prescription. After I had to have surgery because they cut my eye as I took them out, I figured that was enough for me.

I have NO peripheral vision.

I have little to no depth perception.....yeah. There are people out there that ask me why I usually don't drive....

Congrats on the neg test though. At least that's one thing you don't have to worry about.

no depth perception would be a real problem do they know why since that's not that common

Barry had the same problem when he got glasses time before last - they were so small he couldn't see down (on stairs he has to take innumerable times a day) or off to the side. So his new pair (that I hate) are a lot bigger and kind of remind me of what they wore in the 70s. At certain times, I flash back to my DAD. But, he can see which is the important thing.

(and YAY no glaucoma!)

that was it. I could wear the HUGE glasses circa 1985 that have come back in style or these tiny things. Since i rarely wear them I opted for tiny

I had my eye exam last Tuesday. I'm *still* waiting on my new glasses! Ugg! Not that I use them much, I wear my contacts all the time. Like you, I have zero peripheral vision without them and that drives me insane, so unless it's an emergency I wear my contacts.

Oh and the glaucoma test...yeah they had to do it like three times on one eye because it wouldn't take. I think it's the whole 'you know it's coming' thing so you're preparing for it and then they take forever combo! Regardless, it sucked.

I'm glad the glaucoma test this time gave you good news. That must be quite a relief.

I hear you on the tiny glasses. I hate that they're the big fashion right now. Last time, I hunted and hunted for larger glasses, and finally found some that I wasn't thrilled with, but at least they were somewhat bigger.

Who can see out of those tiny strips??

I'd sure rather be able to see a lot more of the world without having to turn my head every time, than be ultra-fashionable.
