when good days go bad

I mean I survived the weekend laundromat free for all AND got out of Wal-Mart without punching someone (but it was close). I even got home to find a HUGE box of manga I got from www.bookcloseout.com sitting on the porch.

I was all set for a lazy afternoon of grading rough drafts of parasitology papers (one was beautiful. Students like this make you smile) and grading anatomy tests. I got the coffee pot going AND found a marathon of the first year of NCIS which I've never seen. Life was good.

Then I started getting hot and cold and queasy. At first I was blaming a warmish day, sweat shirt, the coffee and the debacle that was the anatomy test. Then I could hardly keep my eyes open and reading was making them hurt. Uh oh.

Then the stomach rebelled and still is. I'm okay so long as I don't even think of feeding it. And the cold was because my temp has dropped to 96.1 hmmm most people run fevers when they're sick. I apparently turn into a reptile.

Gah. Well at least I have the 20th anniversary of Cops! to watch (did you see it silvrethorn) and got to see one of the clips that makes me go 'wow' in awe at the one legged cop who can run down perps. When that first aired years ago it was eye opening to see just what a prosthesis was capable of handling.

He really is. I didn't realize that someone with that kind of 'disability' could even make it on the force. And recently i've seen marathoners with double prosthetics, one of whom wanted to be in the Olympics and qualified but was disqualified because the biomechanics of his limbs gave him an 'advantage' (I still can't believe they could say a double amputee has the advantage with a straight face)

Oh, yes, I watched the special Cops. They had all my favorite Cops moments, but I guess the cop who chased the pickup truck into the woods with his squad car and ended up setting the squad car on fire was too recent for this show.

I woke up this morning with my ears stopped up. If it progresses to an ear infection/vertigo, I'll be barfing right along with you. I thought the creeping crud was done with for the year. This sucks.

Woke up this morning feeling completely fine. Go figure. Maybe it was the weather (stormy yesterday, rainy today). Hopefully your migraines are just weather-related as well. I can't imagine the weather is wonderful in Ohio this early in the year.

I am always amazed at the strength people have, like that kid that had both arms torn off by a thresher - yet he was able to make it back to the house, pick up a pencil with his mouth and dial 911. I would have shit myself and died.

Don't hate me but I had to apply to Wal-mart the other day. I almost hope they don't call me back. The customers are almost all white trash who think they own the place. My would-be co-workers seem so lazy I'm certain I'd be doing all the work. Not to mention by the time I was done with that stupid machine my hands were filthier then they'd ever get in the barn. EWWWWW
