Snowflake Challenge Day 12 & 13

Day 12 - In your own space, talk about what you bring to fandom. It can be something tangible, or not.

You mean besides my awesome self? :-) I bring fiction and a lot of it. I've written hundreds of stories. I bring the willingness to help. I've beta reader for more people than I can easily remember and I've functioned as cheerleader for them as well. I love to give feedback. If I've read a story I will leave feedback even if it's just a "I really liked this" because any more not enough people do that and it matters.


Day 13 - In your own space, talk about a creator. Show us why you think they are amazing.

I don't have time to say a lot as I'm running around prepping things for work but I do have three creators I wanted to talk about. evil_little_dog, seta_suzume and kiramaru7.

All three of them write in a wide variety of fandoms. Seta and Kira also do a lot of fan art too. (ELD draws but I haven't seen her put any of it on line) They are active fans and more importantly they're all very nice people who are fun to talk to.

I have no way to scan in art. Or old photos. Or stuff like that. Though I have been sketching more lately.

Day 12:

I kinda do the same. I've betaed (mostly for my friends), cheerleaded (is that even a word? it's late & kira's TIRED), & I try to leave feedback too. Although I find it hard. Sometimes I leave concrit ranging from commenting on how a big block of text is unreadable to how dialogue is formatted. Most of the time, I'm told "It's only fanfictioon, so rules of grammar don't apply" nonsense. I'll let an author know how much I like a story too. Usually it's just a gut reaction to what I've read.


Day 13: Awe... Thanks for the shout out! I'm honored to be in such awesoem company! Seta's drawings are adorable & ELD writes some amazing stuff, ne? :D

If someone hands me the rules of grammar crap doesn't count in fanfic, I'm usually done with them.
