I might have more. Not sure yet. For some reason season one of Buffy started haunting me for these. All of them are set the (except for Cordy's that's S2, all are PG-13 and the standard disclaimer - don''t own 'em, Mr. Whedon does.

Xander
Would he be here if it weren’t for Buffy? Xander stared at the plaque he had carved with his woodshop skills. Everyone thought his best friend was a runaway. The plaque, hidden in the woods said otherwise.
Xander had spent his whole life in Sunnydale before Buffy’s arrival and none of his friends had ever died before. He met Buffy and Jesse was gone like that. Did Buffy attract the vampires to them? Or was she the only reason that he and Willow were still alive? He had to believe it was the latter. He didn’t know what do otherwise.

Willow
Why is she even talking to me? Willow mused. She’s obviously Cordette material. Willow glanced across the classroom at the blonde newcomer. Buffy was something on an enigma. There was no reason for her to be friendly to a geek.
Willow didn’t know why she was even questioning this good turn of events. Maybe it was because she remembered the times Cordy and Harmony were friendly to her just to set her up for a huge public embarrassment. She was waiting for Buffy to do the same. But what if Buffy was sincere? Willow was willing to take a risk.

Buffy
Buffy felt queasy. She should have seen this coming. How thick had her blinders been that she missed Xander’s crush on her. Usually her radar for that sort of thing was sharp. Maybe being honed to feel out vampires clouded her for the normal things, because when Xander asked her to the dance she had been taken by surprise.
She wished she hadn’t been blind so she could have headed it off. She hurt him, which was the last thing she wanted. Buffy couldn’t fix this no matter how much she wanted to. Time, that heals all wounds, right?

Angel
Maybe Darla was right when she claimed she chose him because she liked them handsome and dumb. The smart thing would be to leave now before the Master rose - Coward, Angelus roars inside his head. Since when do you fear him? - before he was dragged into a battle that wasn’t his.
It would be smart to leave before SHE became even more important to him. One look in those crystalline eyes and he was caught like a fly in amber. It was already too late to be smart. He had rejoined the world for her. It was too late.

Giles
Giles cast a furtive look out the window, as if the teens might be prowling outside his flat. Who had decided middle-aged men were the proper caretakers of teen-aged girls? He dug out his hidden pack of smokes and lit up before pouring himself a scotch.
Buffy could drive anyone to drink with her capriciousness. He smiled fondly, in spite of himself. He couldn’t stay mad at her for long. She might not be the daughter he had always wanted but she was just as precious. He’d do anything to keep her safe...and teach her what real music was.

Cordelia
This wasn’t supposed to be happening to her. How could she of all people fall for the wrong person? Cordelia Chase was the with-it girl She was the queen of the school so why was she looking at a mere peasant and thinking warm thoughts.
She remembered the feel of his lips on hers. In spite of their combined fear of imminent death, the kiss had been smoldering, better than she could have imagined. It was wrong. What if anyone found out? She had to fight this. Why did she think this was one battle she’d lose?
