graduation day

honestly they either need to find speakers worthy of an hour time slot or better yet, if you want to use alumni (which is fine) then give a more reasonable time slot. Frankly do you think these kids are going to remember what is said? I went to two of three of various college graduations and I don't remember at all.

It was exceedingly windy. I discovered that 4 bobby pins won't help you in gale force winds.

Dad is disappointed i don't have a pork pie hat.I WANT one. they're about 100$. I suspect I'll be getting one for my birthday now.


At least the party we faculty throw ourselves was good. Good snacks, good wine/beerr, good conversation. We even broke out in song.

You should be able to find a good porkpie hat for way less than $100. I saw one at Ross for $20.

I used to have one I got at Goodwill for less than $5, but Goodwill is catch as catch can, I suppose.

Wow. Party. I can't imagine. We have hours of pontification and a huge school where the list of names goes on forever and then everyone goes home.

oh we had hours of pontification but it's a small school so we're usually doneby 330

We have 28,000 students and my dept. has 50+ members, so we split up and each go to one of 3 graduations (Fall, Spring, Summer) a year. That's something :)
