being irresponsible.
May. 12th, 2009 09:39 pmbecause I have been.I'm tight with money. Mom always says I could squeeze the buffalo off the nickle. I've always been that way a little. Not that it kept me from getting into money trouble, no medical school did that. So how have I been irresponsible.
Bought more books lately, ones that I'm sure I'll feel guilty about later.
Bought expensive samples from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab but I'm not that guilty about it. I've been wanting to try it for years and I decided to burn the money on the sample six pack and good thing. There's always a risk in buying perfume online that you have never smelled. I used my gut on these. I haven't tried any yet. A few smell gorgeous in the vial and I hope they'll work with my body chemistry. A few sort of stink and if I had splurged on the big bottle I might have been disappointed. So I'm glad they have samples of their regular stock. (sadly not of their limited editions). I think I'll make a chart of what I like and what I don't (Yes, I AM that anal but also BPAL has an extensive selection and my memory is on par with Dorrie the fish)
Earthstink for being a loyal customer (like I have a choice out here) gave me a 5$ coupon to Amazon. I logged on meaning to spend it on manga...and ended up ordering the complete Avatar the Last Airbender series. Yeah, all three years...yeah two I've never ever seen, yeah it was over 100$. BUT looking on Ebay Amazon was only 10$ more for the set and on ebay i have zero luck with DVD's from Ebay. Either they end up being unplayable, knockoffs or i never even see them. For 10$ (5 if you consider the coupon) it was worth it
Speaking of Avatar, yeah I'm late to the game but i have to say I'm very impressed. It's an interesting storyline, a tad on the violent side for the younger kids but I doubt that's their target audience. I liked that there are hard choices to make, that the good guys do sometimes lose and die and when someone gets hurt they actually made them swell up and bruise.
Oh and let's not even get into all the plants I spent. It's probably all a symptom of stress. I'm usually not so bad but ah well, what's done is done
