first Farrah and then Michael. Wow, what a day. What boy didn't have Farrah's posters back in the day? Yeah I had a Farrah cut. And I still have Thriller no matter what i thought of Michael in the later years.

Tonight my arms and legs got slimed in concert by a Platt Hound/Lab mix, Bart, and a Golden retriever/Poodle mix, Charlie as both boys tried to sit in my lap at once. Then when I got home Rogue the cat, in a fit of pique wrapped himself around my leg and started licking away the offending dog traces

it really is. I mean, Farrah's passing was expected but to die at 50...

that's neat (the autograph naturally)

I was not being a teenage boy in the 1970s so I don't know much about Ms. Fawcett. I knew she was gravely ill with cancer so I wasn't too shocked. Saddened, yes; shocked, no. However, the death of Jackson took me back quite a bit. I seriously thought my father was joking when he told me last night. While not a fan of his later "works" (the pedophilia, the bizarre surgeries, etc), I was a follower of his earlier material - from the Jackson 5 (except the disco shit) up to Bad. (And this from an admitted punk... the guy had class and style back then.)

yeah i have to agree. In Farrah's case I'm glad the suffering is over.

As for Michael, same here. Dadand I kept seeing as reported by TMZ which isn't the worlds most reliable source. I'm thinking drugs and/or suicide to get away from the massive crushing debt he was in

The AP said that MJ went to hospital with cardiac problems. On CNN.com there was a list of his past health problems - everything from the Pepsi burn to the massive amounts of plastic surgery. One person was reported as saying the he had a form of vitiligo that made his skin grow lighter. I don't know if I buy that since it came on suddenly... and I thought vitiligo was more of having splotches of no pigmentation, not growing lighter.

yeah i never once believed that he had vitiligo. you're right it does give the impression of holstein cattle or dalmation coloring not an overall whitening

A Golden Poodle?!?!? Hee! On a totally unrelated topic having noticed your music.... did you think that show was as lame as I did?

yeah golden poodles are supposed to be hypoallergic since they don't shed. As teh dog sitter scoffed, likely story. That dog was shedding EVERYWHERE.

Eh my parents were watching. I could hear it in the background

You aren't missing anything, trust me. I was dissapointed in that and Hawthorn after all the hype they got.

*nods* I'm sure you got enough of that up close and personal. I normally don't either until I saw House but even that sucks anymore.

That's how I felt. I tried to have Farrah hair, but it's too curly and it never worked.

And of course we all had Thriller. It was the soundtrack of our college years...
