the doctors
Jul. 17th, 2009 01:10 pmThey did me a real favor today. When i told the nurse I had two appts 5 hours apart she got them to bump me up so i was done in two hours.
The endocrinologist sort of wants to try another injectible med but i put him off until we see what working on the stomach issues does first. He was fine with that. My temp was barely 95 and my blood pressure 104/70, some days I'm barely alive.
The stomach doc doesn't want to do surgery...yet but my options are so very limited. They're putting me on reglan, which i expected. My cousin told me she never knew how sick she had been for so long until she took this nad actually remembered what feeling good FELT like.
the downside? reglan can cause tardive dyskinesia, an uncontrolled movement of the limbs. It can become permanent. the upside is, if I start really shaking (as opposed to the shaky feeling I might get when I start this), then I can go off before anything is permanently damaged. I have to go back in two weeks.
Every nurse and doctor who saw my bruise was astonished at how BAD it was. And then I had to go to be tested for celiac's disease, i.e. MORE blood draws. I doubt I have it. Yes I have lots of burning pain b ut it doesn't get worse when I have gluten. In fact I tend to feel better eating pizza, bread or beer but I undertsand the need for thoroughness
DIdn't go see Harry Potter since i was done so early.I'll go after work next week.

Date: 2009-07-18 11:19 am (UTC)My normal temp seems to be around 97. Yours is low too, yet we both seem to run so hot. Wonder what's up with that?
