not overtly sick (thankfully) but queasy and rumbly guts... The only thing i accomplished today was realize that i REALLY restructed my parasitology class and now i have to cull three previous exams to find questions.

This icon grabbed me when I first saw it because it summed up Fullmetal Alchemist so well. It is one of the best stories I've read, not just in manga but in general. It's a wonderful story full of pain and love, failures and triumphs. It's worth reading. How anyone could think the manga got boring is beyond me. It's excellent.

This is Kanzeon from Saiyuki another very good manga, loosely based on The Journey to the West Kanzeon is Kannon, Kuan Yin and many other names, a goddess who is sometimes depicted as a hermaphrodite. In the manga there's absolutely no doubts she's a hermaphrodite but she is writen as a very wry, lippy woman and I love her.

Death by Books, really, one day this is how I'm going to go out. I've been buried under piles of my own books, falled over them, is currently watching parts of my apartment sink under their weight. Like Tenpou ( Saiyuki Gaiden) I'm a menance with books.

Typos. Let's face it, we hate seeing them in stories and yet there are people who obviously don't know what spellcheck is. Worse, you have three betas and all four of you MISS them until someone points it out 2 seconds after posting. I'm the queen of making them.

Ah Chris Mustang aka Madam Christmas, master information gatherer, spy networker and Roy's foster mom. How much of her bars and other enterprises (brothels?) are just for extending her influence who knows. She's just fun

Sweet little Goku. He's from both Saiyuki and Saiyuki Gaiden (he's gaiden age in this one). This is the character type I usually hate, the mouthy boy who does nothing but whine and eat but Goku manages to elevate that to an artform and his innocence (especially considering the darkness around him) is absolutely endearing. He's my favorite character.
