Finished that Lorne story. Oh if you're wondering why I wrote one here's why

Over at the AndyHallet013 yahoo board, we're in the Halloween spirit,
so we've issued a ficlet challenge:

Lorne and Halloween. Can be funny, sad, weird, sexy.. but short
(under 2500 words). Can even be Mary Sue (I like an occasional Mary
Sue, myself ;D ). We'd like to post them on the AndyHallett013 board
as well. If we get enough of them, I'm thinking of putting them in
an online "storybook" for Halloween.

I thought it sounded interested (I have an email for stories if you want to participate just ask and I'll send it. I didn't want to just post it, you know..

AND I've got the next scene of Hyperion's Son done and it needs a beta. (No, not giving up on Leni, but I am on the other Beta for this because he's getting married in oh a week or so and obviously has far more important things on his mind AND Evil Little Dog is back packing up her house) So if anyone wants to give Leni a hand with the betaing let me know and I'll send you part of Ch 15 (and well probably ch 14 just so you know what happens there or else ch 15 won't make sense)

Okay it's late so I'm probably done yammering on LJ for one night.

May I ask what the term Mary Sue means? I've seen it thrown around a few times but have never seen a definition.

And I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter(s) of Hyperion's Son. I think it's among the best stories I've ever read.

Mary Sue means the character is perfect. Generally this refers to an original character that's a thinly veiled representation of the author (but not always) Basically s/he is good looking, everything goes his/her way, all the show characters like the MS and generally one is sleeping with her. This gets real annoying and sadly a lot of people who think ANY original character inserted into a fan story is by default a Mary Sue which is unfair and untrue.

And THANKS. I'm glad you're enjoying Hyperion's SOn. Just got ch 14 back from both my betas so expect it on the weekend.
