did you know autumn = monsoon season?
Sep. 26th, 2009 10:12 pmapparently it does in SE OH and SW WV. It's been pouring for two and half days. Also these areas do not have and never have even heard of the nightlight type non-poisonous flea traps. Screw it, i'll fog the place.
went shopping all day with my coworker L. had to return a manga I got (had two issues in my hand and bought the wrong #) We hit the halloween store again. They still had the aviator glasses and I almost bought them but decided i needed to get my steampunk HAT first to see what I needed.
Hit Michael's who has a Halloween "Christmas village" that I am totally coveting. However, each piece is @ 90$ and most are so noisy i couldn't see leaving them plugged in for extended periods.
You know, they keep saying that NO ONE shops in malls and department stores any more (or so say all the reporters every time they circle like vultures to gleefully report another store going under). So tell me why they're always packed to the freaking gills when I'm there? You couldn't move in the halloween shop and recession or not people were thumping down outrageous amounts of money for this stuff. Borders, same thing, you couldn't get through the stacks there were so many people. I was wishing no one shopped at malls.
Had two guys chatting me up today (figures, the one time I'm NOT alone). A young bookseller who was thrilled that I agreed with him FMA ruled. He wanted to get me to read Code Geass which I've seen and don't like but didn't tell him that. And the guy at Krogers who loved i had on my things Star Trek taught me t-shirt and that I liked granny smith hard cider.
This Krogers has a UK import section and I snagged up some maltesers

Date: 2009-09-27 05:43 am (UTC)anyway, the soap clogs up the flea's breathing holes and the start struggling to the surface. it'll be hard to see on Roy's fur, but this is a time you can also run a flea comb on him to get fleas off while they're busy drowning in thick soap.
I've had issues where nothing seemed to be helping, but you can get rid of them. I'll be vaccuuming every single day for a while even though I won't get home from work and class until bedtime... I'll hvae to make sure the floor gets dealt with too. If I can remember any other tricks I've learned I'll mention them. I've seen bombs not work. There was a powder I used that I got at Pet Smart or Superpets. I don't remember which, and I don't remember if it was the Adams or the Zodiac that worked. Whichever one it wsa, the other one didn't. Also, that powder if you leave it down in the carpet will destroy their life cycle, but it takes time... if eggs hatch, the powder won't kill the fleas instantly. So if they can get away from it quickly enough they can ge on you or Roy before it kills them. Not sure about borax
In exchange, if you have any hints about getting rid of piss ants I'd appreciate them. *rolls eyes* Right now I just laid a thick bead of honey water and borax along a highway of them., They're going nuts over it so hopefully they'll take the borax home with them and feed it to their queen.

As for piss ants...i have no idea. I'm sure you tried your google fu on this already. I'm waging a second battle. This one on some freaking mite that's on my plants. Dawn to the rescue here too
