techie sort of help

Okay I spoke to AT&T today about their DSL. Their download speeds are 1.5 for 35$, 3.0 for 40 and 6.0 for 45$. None of these have any limits on how much I can up/download. Verizon's wireless broadband is 60$ and has that 6 gig a month limit (I don't quite remember the speed)

Neighbor boy loves the Verizon

Coworker loves the AT&T (at the cheapest rate)

Thoughts? Suggestions? Been burned by either? Love them?

Wow, I guess it's the area I live in, but I pay about $30.00/month for unlimited 3 mbps service with Verizon.

Anyway, I've been fairly happy with it. Once in a while I have to reboot my modem, and I've never set it up for wireless so I don't know how well that works, but the speed is pretty good, and I download a shit-load of stuff.

60 (or is it 65) is the cheapest Verizon goes here. You agree with Neighbor Boy though. he and his wife love it

We've always had Verizon but I loath it. We never get a signal and last I checked we paid out the nose for it. I'd love to switch over so if you do use another company let me know how it works out.

i have their phone service and they mess up constantly. That's why I've b een dragging my heels on a year long committment for their broadband

I've had nothing but good luck with Verizon, but I have no experience with AT&T as an ISP (just cell phone!)
