YAY October (and mini picspam)

I have no idea how it got to be this late in the year. I swear to god i just set aside a couple stories since they were Christmas ones and no one wanted to see them in March and now it's time to find them again. Surely it was only a week or two ago that I set them aside...
But October, my favorite month of the year. YAYAYAY
I'm involved in the haunted theatre. I have tons of fall festivals. Octoberfest!! Gearing up for the renn fest tomorrow
Roy is back. Beginning to think he was an abusive boyfriend in a past life sent back as a stray, unwanted beast since he likes to use people then treat them bad. As soon as that cold wind blew up his ass he was back and stayed all day under the futon but when I wouldn't change out his kibble for whatever glorious mystery food he was demanding he insisted to leave. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Roy.
As promised, picspam. It's called let's guess when COM gave up on weeding the garden (there's plastic down and this is STILL happening. I might do what neighbor did, pull off ALL the stone and lay down river plastic...)
Hotei in hay
Fuu Dog in the Field
Buddha in Beans
Bushel of Bean (all three pounds of them)

Date: 2009-10-03 11:05 pm (UTC)I wound up buying a half a bushel of beans today for $5, along with two yellow tomatoes, a purple bell pepper (ours did NOT grow, darn it), some okra (ditto), some hot peppers called 'lemon drops' (supposedly, they taste like lemons then burn your mouth), vampire- and some like it hot-brownies and some corn for a total of around $20.00 at the farmer's market. Mmmm, fresh veggies....

Date: 2009-10-03 02:50 am (UTC)My SIL thinks that cats who spend most of their time outside are less friendly than indoor cats, because basically they're less used to people. I don't know if that's true, but she was basing it on the fact that she grew up with cats who were mostly outdoor cats who weren't that friendly, and was shocked by how friendly Lupin is.

Date: 2009-10-03 02:59 am (UTC)most outdoor only cats are more feral and less friendly. Roy's friendlier (I suspect he started life indoors) but on his terms

Date: 2009-10-03 03:01 am (UTC)Well, that makes sense about outdoor cats, I suppose. I'm glad Lupin is the way he is: super friendly and nice.

Date: 2009-10-03 02:46 pm (UTC)You named your cat Roy...and you wonder why he's not faithful and caring? LOL
We might have to ponder this. Our most loving cat's name is "TC" (for Totally Cute). I think they like flattery.
