Oh what the hell is Thumbs? I have a bunch of music junk I want to trash on the hard drive but each file has 'thumbs' in it. Is that something I can delete with each folder and not worry?

Don't think it's that strange to be an artsy academic sort.

Thumbs usually refers to thumbnail images. Chances are that you can junk those without great repurcussions, especially if you're junking the stuff that they're associated with.

Okay, that's what it is. ALl the folders have the album art on them so that makes sense. Goodbye to that. Maybe you can explain, now that I'm downloading videos to my music that they were downloading there just fine until three days ago. They download (sometimes they corrupt I think I need a better winzip) but I can't FIND them. WHen I do a search they're in My Music but when I go to that directly I can't see them. Or am I just cursed

Lessee. Do you have more than one user account on that machine? If you're downloading the stuff, then running it through winzip, it might be depositing the stuff in a "My Music" folder, that just may happen to not be your My Music folder.

Try the "open containing folder" option in the find window.

Then again, you might just be cursed.
