i'm a giant walking cramp. Can you say paint rollers DO NOT roll on fabric well? Day three of painting and hanging stuff. We did so much work today. Sadly 'my' room doesn't look like it'll be that fun. sigh.

A new guy has shown up and while it's good that the head of this has some strong male help this guy is runaway enthusiasm. He knows 10 ways better to do anything any of us are doing and has suggestion after suggestion after suggestion...i almost feel bad for him in a way because every time he speaks there's this silence and no one really answers him. It's like does he feel bad himself or is he the type sitting there thinking these people all suck and why don't they see i'm so great? I don't know him well enough to say.

I have a mystery bruise on my left shin. Saw it today after i soaked in the bath. Seriously it's so big i had to measure it (3 inches by two). now how in the world could i get THAT without realizing it?


Mom's on a warpath. Grandma is refusing to do anything she could do 3 weeks ago. SHe wants catered to 100%. Worse she WILL NOT wear her adult diapers and sorry but she has to and is going to get a massive bed sore if she doesn't since incontinence breaks down skin. She really needs to go to the home and stay. Even worse Hospice called mom at 9 pm last night to ask if they could swing the pills by and mom's like no, grandma is asleep. they said we'll just leave them outside (does this sound safe to anyone?) Then he called back at 1130 PM to get directions. My Dad went ballistic on the dude and they reported him today. sorry but you don't call someone's house that late at night.


also, right now i'm wondering why i bother with certain fanfic comms. starting to look like popularity wins again

So Sorry to read about all of the problems cropping up on you.
First part the dude sounds like a know it all.
Grandmother really should be sent back asap bed sores are nothing to joke about i know my mom n law got them for the same reason. as for the sore could you have pulled a ligament in your leg and not realizes it?
Just take it easy and try and relax easier said than done i know,but i'll keep my fingers crossed for your sanity.

She doesn't think she can get one, not the reigning queen. Mom's going to talk ot her brother about this since it's not going to be easy to put her in a home when she's not willing to go

No advice on the new guy. Maybe he's just nervous? I run at the mouth when I am anxious.

I am seeing now that we lucked out with Grandma. She came to live with us to keep her more "with it". Her health was really good until just before the end. She was also the "sweet mellow old lady". She'd been quite the lioness in her younger years... no wonder her name was Leona!

She was helpful, good to the pets and nice to my Dad. She was also good about her medications and she and Jake the dog would have a Boost every night before bed. *I do wonder HOW MUCH of the Boost the dog got... he also got some of her morning decaf with lots of milk and sugar.

there really is nothing wrong with grandma's mind (which is probably the bad part since she's able to make her own decisions) She's vain and stubborn and honestly adored her first born (now dead) and thinks she had her other two kids for the express purpose of being her servants.

wonders if Boost is even good for a dog. Its my usual breakfast and lunch...

building stuff is hard work especially when you're a couch potato and a klutz

Boost, especially chocolate Boost is probably NO good for a dog. But Jake was tough and lived a long life prior to the cancer.

He got pretty big as the vet says, since he was "dying" for well over a year. "Oh, this won't hurt him, he's dying anyway... " to steak, bacon, cheese, M&Ms etc etc etc... he was also the 38 lb terrier mix. In the previous picture. He'd just gotten on his medication to keep the tumor in check and it was also a pain reliever. He's "singing" as the family opened presents that Christmas.

Grandma had problems with keeping track of time. She'd know the day and the date but really "lost track" that she'd been "visiting" us for nearly five years. Mom feels bad for kidnapping her but her health ended up being much better. She was born in '12 and was getting frail and "cat ladyish" living alone.

I'm not sure if I'd rather lose my mind or my health... usually it's one or the other.

That's why we want grandma to go to a home. She needs help. My mom really can't do it. Hell b oth she and my dad are putting off surgeries while they take care of her.
