SPIDERS! (and a spooky picspam)

I forgot to mention yesterday I was talking to my brother on the phone while cleaning up the halloween decorations I didn't use. I reached down to snag the big furry black spider with purplish splotches off the carpet when he ran up my arm! I shrieked. He hit ground scurrying. I grabbed a shoe and beat him to death. My brother asks How Big WAS it? all you need to know John is big and furry with eyes big enough to be seen.


Then this morning, I get into the car which is in the shadow of the building. I get out onto the highway, achieve cruising speed and the sun peeks out and then I see it. My entire passenger side of the car is covered in webs. Never did see the bitch responsible.

go to work, reading the morning emails of official tomfoolery and student whining when i hear a huge metal breaking sound. WTF? No one knows so we call maintainence. Know that 52,000$ A/C I was bitching about a few weeks back well it's older counterpart sort of died in a loud hot miserably way and nearly torched the roof.

I'm now officially the chairperson of the preprofessional committee. whee

One of the few things I miss about Boston was the relative lack of what you would call "nature".

If I had a spider like that in my house, I'd call my brother to come over and kill it for me. And then I'd run screaming.
