remember that dream I had where
lyrangalia was driving badly and wouldn't stop for the really creepy cool cemetery which looked a lot like a cemetery I've had many dreams about?
Well I was leafing through the sunday Columbus Dispatch while talking to mom and they had a creepy travels cemetery walk article and I started yelling into the phone, it's it! I found it! and I did. It's the cemtery
from my dreams. No lie the middle and right hand picture have been in my dreams for years.
It's crown hill cemetery and it's in Indianapolis so I'm thinking screw going to IN to see
evil_little_dog for thanksgiving. Let's go for spring break and go up to Indy. I think I HAVE to go. I might just be buried in there and I need to find myself

Date: 2009-10-27 03:21 am (UTC)When I was young, I used to like to go to a very, very old church cemetery where only a few small graves were left because the church was long gone and the grounds were deserted -- those lonely graves always fascinated me. When we went through Zuni when I was adult, alas, they'd been moved. I wish I'd gotten pictures when they were still there.

Date: 2009-10-27 04:04 am (UTC)That one we went to in Santa Fe, that was stunning -- there was a tombstone that had been displaced by the giant tree that we guessed had been a sapling planted by the family when the little girl who died was buried (I need to find all the pictures I took there).
The only ones I've been to back east have been Arlington and Gettysburg.

I would like to go to Santa Fe. It's one of the few SW cities I have always wanted to see. I'd like to see the pictures if you find them
