just feeling sick today

That nausea hung out all day. I didn't get much done. I wanted to enjoy outside a little since it was in the 60's and absolutely gorgeous. Why am I wearing shorts in Nov and am not currently living in FL? Still, it could be this temp every day and I'd be so happy (seriously I should live in Eureka CA).
To add to the nausea I was struck with the feeling of gah, HOW did that get published. You see a supremely shitty story in print and you're like HOW (especially one this hateful to women)
I didn't look for a new job or put out my christms lights (Not LIGHT them just put them out), or write.
Speaking of christmas lights I forgot to mention on the way to Athens I saw one trailer with FOUR christmas blow ups (where's my knife) already up and just outside of Athens a huge lit cross (and house and i suspect this thing is ALWAYS lit since I've sen that cross before). It's like really people? second week in Nov. Should be a law, not until after Thanksgiving damn it.
Speaking of laws the Columbus Dispatch's headline article today was the fact that in OH there are more laws to protect our pets than there are to protect women. This doesn't surprise me. Women always seem to count for less than animals. It's a stunning fact really given the strides made last century still don't give us the same rights as a dog.
You hear the excuse 'well i like animals more than people' You know what, that is a really shitty attitude (not that I'm saying we shouldn't like and protect animals, no not saying that at all). Maybe if we cared a little more about each other it would be harder to sit back and be comfortable with the fact that you'll get more time for beating your dog than your wife. I'm not even getting into how many police stations they said routinuely ignore a 20 year old law that says they MUST report signs of abuse if they see it. Apparently that only goes in OH if you're taping for Cops!
The number one cause of death in pregnant women is not eclampsia or placenta prevara or ectopic pregnancies, no it's being beaten to death by the baby's father
This is why I'm so proud of my story in Nothing But Red All the money goes to women's charities, something I've worked for since undergrad.
So there's a topped for my week. My life is worth less than Roy the cat.
