or a drag and a bang waking me up (I actually slept all the way through the night. this is so rare an event is show be mentioned). The winds are so bad the bang was my porch furniture launching itself into the court yard.

Weird ass weather. Yesterday was ice cold and it actually started ice storming when i was up doing laundry (prompting me to race around trying to get three things done at once) then by 6 pm it was deluging. It was warmer at 11pm than 11 am by 30 degrees. It's in the 60's now and is expected to drop again, 30 degrees. Well, at least I didn't get hit like i would have if i still lived in Madison

I got the H1N1 shot today. they ask you 'are you allergic to the flu shot components.' so i ask the nurse WHAT are they? I mean who has that memorized? Well eggs and thimosol. You asked that in the same question so i'm assuming there has to be MORE in there than that.

You see last time i had the flu shot in 93, people of Mediterranean descent reacted to the binders in flu (which I knew they had changed) so I've b een so leery but my health issues allowed me to get a free shot so... The flyer they give you afterwards say you could be nauseous (right on cue, thanks), have muscle pain (should it be extending to my jaw?) and tiredness (well, who could tell? My sugar has been so high I'm always run down)

I was so surprised by how warm it was this morning since I was expecting to wake up to winter misery. I *hate* winter and darkness and cold. Hate. It.

Yeah, I know how the heat and sunlight cause you major problems. :-(

I hate the darkness when I get off work because it feels like my entire day is over at 5pm. I have decorations I want to put up in the back yard (which is the way I enter my house), but I have to wait until Saturday so I see what the hell I'm doing. LOL

i can definitely understand the idea of the day is done. even i feel that then again i'm at my most productive at night.

i got mine up last week for all the good it did me. it's been too bad for me to want to trust the outdoor outlet and next week i'm out of here

Eeesh. Your weather has been awful, whereas I was simply sitting here waiting for the snow to start falling. And last night it finally did and actually stayed on the ground. And then I was giddy. I always get giddy at the beginning of winter anyway, when I see people starting to bundle up, but I think that's because I know the snow's coming.

I try not to think about the fact that in a couple of months I'll be completely tired of all this crap. It's not crap right now, it's a light dusting that -- *glances through blinds* ALREADY EFFING MELTED. *not happy*

I really hope this isn't one of those few Christmases we have without snow. That would just suck.

I'm pretty sure I got a flu shot. I remember getting it in my bicep and then having soreness the next day -- or was that the tetanus shot I desperately needed?

Damn it all, so difficult to keep track!

I do wonder about the health care legislature and whether all the retroactive charges I've had for clinical tests, procedures, vaccinations, and such will be null and void.

I certainly hope so. That'd be just brilliant. I could spend the money I don't have on things people shouldn't get for free, like new cargo pants and jeans because I need those. My sister bought me new skate shoes that I can't wear until spring because they're of thin material. I'm rather saddened. That brings my total up to about four, though two pair my mother didn't know were even skate shoes. I don't plan on telling her.

Meanwhile, my mother tried to cajole me into a new coat just because. Meanwhile, I have -- let's see -- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 different fall and winter coats. I do not need a new one.

No, I don't care how cute you think it looks. I don't want one. Stop it. No, really, stop it.

I bet you invisible money that she'll try again soon.

the weather is a tad schizo right now.

When i was a kid we rarely had a green christmas in the Pittsburgh area (where I'm from) but we haven't had snow in once in the 21st century because I always wanted to bring my 'nephew' out to sled ride and there has NEVER been snow.

that was probably the tetnus. i got this one in the deltoid.

I used to work for the VA which is national health. it's frightens me how the government runs that and how little they'll pay for. or how many limbs i could have saved had they allowed for the proper testing...

i could use a new coat. Not that mine's bad but its microfiber which is falling out and it looks dirty but that's bare spots. makes me mad. it's only a couple years old.
