mom calls tonight

Mom- when are you leaving tomorrow

Me- my usual (i.e. late) time

Mom - supposed to snow in the evening... a lot. You leave early

me - cuss cuss cuss

Mom - I'll call you to make sure you get up early (i.e. like b efore the sun comes up)

Me - no, i'll be fine. I'll go pack the car tonight so it won't take so long tomorrow (and i did)


Mom - do you want me to wrap the gifts for your brother (i.e. like usual mom overbuys gifts and I just pay her for the surplus).

Me - i can wrap them you don't have to

Mom - you wrap like you're brain damaged (true)

Me - fine, you wrap them

Mom - But then they'll know you didn't because they'll look perfect (they will, too)

Me- fine, i'll do it when i get there.

Mom - are you sure

Me - (sure as you're gonna die if you don't hush) Do what you want mom

Mom - put up the tree and the lights. It's waiting for you and I to put on the decorations

Me - Mom you know this always ends with me threatening to strangle you with the christmas lights and using your ass as a tree stand (this is also true, so much so I wrote it into Spike and Angel antics one year)

Mom - come on, it's fun. you can do whatever you want with the decorations

Me - you always say that but then you always yell i'm not doing it right

Mom - because you aren't. If you did it right in the first place, I wouldn't have to make you move the decoration.

Me - ....

so yeah, whee, snow. i don't mind driving in it. It's all highway but it's the other idiots i have to deal with (especially when I get to WV, those hills either make people super stupid coming down them or super terrified and they're going 25 mph in a 70 zone)

If I didn't know better I'd say we have the same mom.

I live in West Virginia so I get where your coming from regarding the roads. I have to drive on them frequently.
