Fics written for me

Hey for once I didn't get shafted in the ficathons, in fact in my last two ficathons I got two fic! Woo-whoo! And they are really good too.

For leni_ba 's CYA ficathon fb2wendy  wrote a very good, dark Spike/Faith for me called One More for the Road (it's got a bit of something for the B/A'ers out there too)

 

And for bashipforever 's Dawn/Spike ficathon writinggoddess  wrote me a future Spike/Dawn that's really rather sweet called Trick or Treat so go have a read and let them know what you think of their efforts.

I need someone to take a gander at what I have for my Dawn/Spike ficathon story too. And to be honest it the additional characters my challenger wanted in the story don't stop trying to take over, I'm going to tie them up naked and toss them out in the snow.

As a side note, I think either hte house is possessed by someone that either a) is looking out for me in a weird way or b) just hates me. I've only ever burnt popcorn once inmy life trying to reheat it in the bag. Since I've been here I tried to make JIffy pop because I got all nostalgic for it. It burned in under two minutes (I'm not supposed to eat popcorn because I'm diabetic but i figure once in a blue moon hurts no one). Last night, I found that microwave caramel kind which I love. First the bag tells me to do NOT use the popcorn button on the microwave???? Okay I never do that anyhow. It tells me to microwave for 4 1/2 minutes. In under three minutes the house reeks. I race to the kitchen and the bag is actually ON FIRE in the microwave (so much for  their time estimates) After extinquishing (the house STILL reeks) I tossed that out to the raccoons who don't seem to mind it burnt. I was going to try again tonight but when zucchini (which is all I had) shoved my sugar to 250 I figure let's not push my luck.

They are, they have been done. I end up at the doctor's every 3 months because of the diabetes (routinue checks) and every time I go for blood work they find something new wrong...it's very ominous.

I DO want to go to an endocrinologist (ooo I'm off today, I should check out going to one here) simply because there are other things going on that I KNOW are hormonal and we need to find if there's some kind of tumor (beyond those stupid ovarian cysts) that's dumping hormones into my system. It would explain a lot

none. I've been sick now for a little over 10 years. None of the blood work is normal but No one has been able to come up with why and I keep getting sicker

thanks. Just found out I can't get an endocrinologist. While we have a bumper crop of psychiatrists here we only have ONE endo and he's booked until jan...going to try an ob/gyn. They can answer some questions, do more blood work.

It's yet to be determined if I'll be teaching next semester. If not, I'll go to Pittsburgh with my family (which frankly would be good. Outside of the Mayo clinic, Pittsburgh is a world leader in medicine) if so I'll be here in Jan and I can see that one doc then

First ob/gyn I called has had the phone disconnected....I think I'll go look at the collection of them in Rhinelander where I work (and hey unlike FL they're all female. I don't have a sex preference in my doctors outside of my ob/gyn)

Yeah, it's a little awkward seeing a male doc for that sort of stuff. I once got a manual breast examination from a male doctor. He was 60-somethingish and completely professional, but I still felt a bit violated.

There's that angle (and all the more harder for someone who's been attacked like me) the other is, they know their stuff but they've never felt it, they can't relate any more than a female urologist can relate to prostate problems.

I'm going to see the nurse practioner in about a month (seeing the actual doctor took until March)
