long week was long but there's picspam

but i have a 3 day weekend. Go academia.

Survived it at any rate. we all went to the white house for pizza and beer. I've NEVER seen it this crowded. Half of it was filled with faculty and the other half my students. And then they blew the keg of Killian's and didn't have ANOTHER. NOOOOO. Nothing on tap but Bud Lite and Coor's Lite and Miller. I m ight was well drink piss in a glass. No one was happy. Then we bought out the bottles of Killians (get the hint bar? STOCK MORE)

Then they gave me the wrong calzone. (it still had sauce in it and veggie instead of pepperoni) and it was undercooked. They were so slammed it would take another hour to make on. Just finish cooking THIS one then. geez

me at Lucky Uncle’s (who left mom at the hospital today and went and won another 1,700$ at the casino) and i might have posted this once already...

Dumpy the Snow Man I saved the best for last. I told my coworkers on FB that if our meeting got snowed out I'd go make a snow man so here he is. Let me say it is VERY hard to make a snowman out of dry, powdery snow.

Dumpy the Snow Man is as sad as he can be
no children to laugh and play and he's as squat as he can be
two bits of gravel for eyes ditto his mouth and nose
he's hidden behind the house right beside the hose
he has no cool hat and a weeds for arms
poor Dumpty is lacking any charms

I have to admit a certain fondness for good ol' Bud Light... but then, I'm a redneck, what can I tell ya? (Well, that, and my Dad worked for Anheuser-Busch.) I do like Killians, but honestly, you're lucky you can get it on tap at all!

I hate light beer of all stripes to be honest. I'll drink Coors at least if it's NOT light.

Out here and in WI Killian's is easy to find on tap. I've never seen it run out be fore. it was sad

Now, Coors I won't drink (company loyalty, don'tchaknow), but I don't mind some light beers. I definitely PREFER others, but since I favor light ales over dark stouts anyway, light is just the next step down (plus, the whole calorie thing).

Generally I prefer cocktails over beer anyway (I know, some redneck I am), but every so often, ya just gotta have a beer.

I'm on th other side, I prefer brown ales and stouts which is probably why I don't like light beer.

Oddly, I prefer beer to most of the rest. I like wines and cocktails mind you but i really do like beer

Your black Buddha is very nice. The laughing Buddha (or is it Hotei?) looks blue with cold, poor guy. Dumpy looks/looked more healthy than the snowman somebody made down here. Our Florida snowman was scrawny. As for Shin Chan, it's nice to see he's wearing his Action Bastard backpack instead of ass-dancing on that snack wrapper. That's a dubious celebrity endorsement if I ever saw one.
