6 - villian set #2 has to do something

7 - Madam Christmas et al should probably do something

8 - they blow off steam

9 - bad stuff happens to Ed

10 - group sex unaware that something bad is happening to Ed

11 - they try to rescue Ed

12 - Ed tries to rescue himself

Let's face it there is NO WAY on god's green earth I'm finishing this in a week. Especially when i want to get those two original fiction things moving (darn alluring open calls)

Sounds like it's coming along nicely at least? There only needs to be enough draft there for an artist to work out if they're interested, and you're already waaaay over the word count, so it's not like you're in danger of turning in 8000 words here *looks shifty*

Awesome. I bet they'll use their new powers wisely. Or not.

Even as a tiny puppy Ed would, of course, try to rescue himself. Getting rescued by other people would totally burn his butt, cf the Scar incident, only I'm sure at twelve he'd be less subdued and more of a brat about it. I look forward to his bad manners.

Maes is taking a risk. I'm not sure how ROY is going to react to all this. But I think it's something Ed wouldn't try to use to his advantage (and Al definitely not)

Oh Ed's just being a stubborn brat. I look for an Al-Roy alliance pounding him into paste before the end

He's going to hate needing rescued. It's probably going to end up a combo of Ed trying to rescue the other kids while Maes, Roy et al come thru the door.

now if Roy would just stop sounding creepy in his scenes with Ed

I suppose it depends what the secret is. Ed does get his serious on when the matter is serious/important enough, but I'm sure whatever it is Roy wouldn't be exactly delighted to have the knowledge in the hands of this evil little puppy. Al is of course a grown-up, even at eleven. I think he's more grown-up than I am.

You could have Roy a shade more irritated to stop his concern being creepy? Acting annoyed and chilly is his standard mechanism to hide when he's genuinely concerned, especially with Ed.

the secret has to do with what happened to Roy before the Madam took him in (being AU and her and him not being related) Roy definitely isn't happy with Hughes but knows why Hughes did it. Roy probably trustsEd and Al (ed, if for no other reason than Roy could ruin him with the brother's secret)

I think really what I need to do is have outside eyes look at those scenes. it oculd all be in my head. Roy has been so spooked he's not really acting like himself

Oh yes, I agree that when it comes to it they do basically trust each other, even at this stage, and both have fairly scary info on each other (Ed guesses about Roy's coup plans at his examination).

I'd be happy to take a look, but given my shipping tendencies I'll understand if you don't consider me the most objective source. XD I certainly wouldn't be up for any shippy stuff with thirteen year old Ed, though, I must say in my defence. Squick, man.

yes that's true. Ed already knows some of roy's secrets

one of my many problems with Ed/Roy is the age difference that many of the stories are told from (then again the shouta is a kink in and of itself for many)

Well, yes, without getting into the shipping thing, I don't really write the pairing as such unless Ed's old enough to buy a drink and vote. Ed's not even quite ready for Winry until the manga's end stage, although I think by now he's pretty much primed and ready to go for her with perhaps one little push.

I've definitely got time to read through a few scenes and give you some brief notes, so feel free to ping things across by email - but as I say, don't feel at all obliged to!

that's definitely true about Ed and Winry.I'm a little more okay with it when they're the same age but still yes, which is why most of my Ed/Winry NC-17 fic is future fic
