saw the doc. the drainage i have now in the sinuses is probably my allergies. My back and neck are so messed up I'm going to therapy. Yay. I think. Anything to help strengthen those muscles will be a good thing

I hate having to pick just one. My flist is made up of astoundingly creative people but I'd be remiss if I didn't pick my oft time co-author & beta evil_little_dog. You all already know she writes really good fan fic but her original fiction is just as good. She can write a descriptive scene better than I ever could. Hoping now that she's no longer working for bat-shit insane atty she'll get back into writing more



1. Hmm from what Scar’s saying then it’s entirely possible that Ed and Al’s (and all the Amestrians) alchemy could simply disappear at the end of all this. I’m not sure I like that theory since it doesn’t feel too plausible.

2. Scar’s brother was apparently a freaking genius. Too bad Scar spent so much time on revenge rather than finding a way to you know, stop what’s left of his country from going to hell.

3. Edward, is this the time to be ooing and ahing over how much your dad is boosting your power. Eh, I guess you ARE a teenaged boy

4. THANK YOU Hoho, I swear without your speech Izumi was going to sit on her dead ass through this. Roy didn’t need constant babying so I’m wondering what was taking her so long. Why isn’t someone just pointing Roy at Father and saying fire this way please.

Re Scar and the loss of Amestrian alchemy - I've also wondered about that and whether the Amestrian alchemists would lose their abilities if/when Father goes bye bye. (Didn't you use that in a story? I'm pretty sure you and I talked about it before.)

I'm also thinking that Roy's going to 'use' Riza in some way (which was my thought two chapters ago) to help guide his alchemy. I mean, his words to her were pretty telling...her alchemy circle is so badly damaged, I can't really figure out anything else he'd be asking her for at this instant.

It sounded way too familiar. I know I've thought about it - I remember saying that when I was working on fma_big_bang, what if they didn't have alchemy? Of course, it didn't really play all that much into what else was going on in my story, but I had thought to include they were in Xing partially to research other ways of using alchemy.

Then again, perhaps those who have seen Truth will still be able to use alchemy?

I had a little heart clench about Ed right then, when Pride was attempting to rip out his eyeball.

yes I remember you considering that plot line for big b ang. I'm assuming that any of them would be able to learn Xing alchemy regardless of what happens.

Though really them losing their abilities ultimately doesn't work for me. it existed before Father. It created him after all. Hohenheim helped to disperse it so even if they had to relearn their way of doing things it would have to exist and Hoho WOULD know how since he was there before the change (and it still bugs me what Ed did at the end with becoming a stone or did I read that wrong)

Unless I totally missed something, I didn't think Ed became a Stone at all, but I'm way too fried to try and figure it out right now. Just going from what I read last night, I thought that when Pride tried to take him over, his conscious/will/spirit/whatever was stronger and broke apart Pride's container (the Stone was already exhausted by forcing Roy through the Gate). Like how Envy was roasted repeatedly until all he could manage was his fetus form. I did think it was incredibly dumb to just leave him there all fluffed on his little pillow. If He were to get ahold of another Stone/more souls, he could come back like Envy did. I understand Ed doesn't want to kill, but couldn't he have at least tucked him in his pocket or something?

Also, thought you would enjoy the Kimblee interference. He is such a crazy nut I love it.

I don't think he'll actually lose the eye (even if Ed does have it closed) because Arakawa probably would've drawn her 'future illos of Ed' with his bangs covering that eye. Seriously. The woman's scary.

I don't agree with them losing their abilities but I'm thinking they may have to relearn at least part of them. If their abilities have been filtered/magnified by Father's influence, they may have to work harder to use them, though.

Holy crap. Maybe somebody else caught this, but I just looked back at 102 to study what we saw of the design on Roy's Gate... and it is totally based on RIZA'S FUCKING TATTOO. You can see the scales on the snake right over his shoulder and make out the curves where they cross higher up on the door. In the shot with Truth you can see the sunburst right above the first coil of the snakes.

If that doesn't equal connected at a profound level, I don't know what does.

Also, note that Roy is the only sacrifice -- shit, the only alchemist -- who wasn't caught in the massive flare in the last panel. Oh, and Scar.

I also refuse to believe Arakawa would basically exclude Roy from the final showdown. Mustang Badassitude is on the horizon.

Also, Izumi and Roy are totally siblings. "Hey, it happens"???! Getting your eyes snatched by a powerful alchemical being "just happens"? Crap, I should be careful. It might just "happen" to me tomorrow.

And Roy needs to stop apologizing whenever he personally doesn't manage to protect everyone around him. He did it after Riza was healed too.
