And Kanda is now officially mine too. The neighbors opted not to take him (i.e. wife said no). I'm both glad and what the hell do I do now?

As for Ling, he might have GONE in the carrier/car ok there but coming back not so much so. He HOWLED. That's why he's a monster. Ling had an opinion on EVERYTHING. ANd everyone had to stop and Listen. To. Him. He got so mad he peed in his water dish (brilliant strategy there bubby). Now he has oral antibiotics and a bad attitude. He wants to be held but he also wants outside and he wants something to magically appear in his bowl that isn't cat food.

census bureau why did you bother? You didn't return our form. I didn't get it so...you're right. They asked me gender, do I live alone and race (human wasn't an answer). That was it. oh wait, rent or own. You wasted my time for THIS. I'd l ike to think if I said I lived with someone I might have been asked something you know useful to society other than a middle aged white woman lives alone in a crapshack apt.

The census questions really are so basic that it makes me wonder why people get so up in arms about filling it out. This is the first year I've gotten to fill one out, because we don't get route delivery out here and the lady at our PO Box just kept boxing them up and sending them back every time because they only have physical addresses on them. A census guy had to come out and hand deliver them this year.

And I'm glad Ling is home and getting better.
