It's my birthday all over again

I met up with my best friend from college, S, today (and she definitely needed a little break from the kiddoes for a couple hours, one's 10 the other 1). We went to TGIFridays (which used to be the most expensive of the chains and now it's closer to the cheapest...). She had my birthday gift in a birthday bag. the waitress saw it and decided even though it was nearly a month ago that today WAS my birthday and gave me free dessert...and ever waiter/waitress in the place gave me a helium balloon in red and white....oh boy. Better than anything they have wild berry/acai berry infused vodka now and i got a wild berry acai sour with blackberries in it. OMG YUM

Her husband and kids showed up later. the one year old is really tall already. cute one minute, squalling baby the next as per usual for kiddos. Glad I got to see them.

came home and got caught in McDonald's parade. Luckily i have a good sense of direction and diverted around.

For those knowing a little Japanese, any clue what "Jinba Ittai" means?

I do not watch reality tv. However when i saw the headline for these America's got talent clip set i had to click on it. i'm impressed some of these were really good

Jinbaittai can mean 'rider and horse as one'. Seems to be a kind of technical term in the car industry? (Usually I see ittai used as "what on earth!")

Ah, the clips are blocked in my country, shame. But I followed Britain's Got Talent last year, and some of the entries were amazing. They had not only Susan Boyle but also two street dance crews who probably got hired off the spot once the show ended.
