my day was about heat and books

I had found a cardboardbox full of books in granny's basement and was hoping something was salvagable so I dragged it up...and sat outside with it. It was just 3 degrees from hitting triple digits and over 80's humidity. I thought I was about to die.

Sadly, this box (which was supposed to have been stored upstairs but got missed) was a total loss. Too many 'wet' books and with the amount of mouse activity in the box I couldn't write it off as humidity from the basement. mice carry too many diseases. In the garbage they went.sigh. I found a load of Crow cards down there too.

Other than that I hid inside watching holiday marathons

Speaking of books here are my books and dvds for June. Plenty of different manga in here and lots of mysteries too

Books: Scent of the Missing, Spice & Wolf vol 1

Books: Necking, Wicked City: Black Guard, MANGA: Hero Tales #1, Vampire Portrait #2 (really enjoyed Hero Tales and Arakawa is working on this, and hey Necking has one really good story. ha!)

Manga: Spiral Bounds of Reasoning #10, Bride of the Water God #5

Books: Neverland (this is by Douglas Clegg, the author I keep putting in my writerly ways as an example. has a really nice website and he is very interactive with fans on FB)

Books: Cirque du Freak - living nightmare, Manga: Sakura taisen #2,

Books: Fever Dream, Manga: Blood Sucker: Legend of Zipangu #1

Books: The Morning Show Murder Manga:Hero Tales #2, Shrine of the Morning Mist #1

Oh sweetheart, I am SO sorry you lost those books! It tears me up when even one of mine is destroyed beyond redemption.

eh they weren't worth anything anyhow. I was going to ditch them to the library

Yeah but still....they were books! And someone had taken the time to write them! We both know how hard it can be to write a book....you stare and stare and stare at the screen until your forehead bleeds!

old writers markets and antimicrobial protocols from 15 years ago would have been trashed anyway so I'm not too worried about it
