and immediately Kanda started looking for her. He got to like her very quickly.

I found out afterwards that mom washed some pots and put them in my stove...you know, after I cranked it on to 400 to preheat. Luckily it was just pizza pans...

let's see how long it takes me to trash this place.

It was 90 today again and my winter mum (i should have taken a picture of it. It's amazing) wilted up. Hoping it perks up with all the water I gave it tonight.

The tomatoes are finally getting ripe. about damn time.

something I forgot to mention. Mom is car shopping so she wanted to drive Naru to the rennfest.

Mom- where's the mirror controls

Me - on the side by your left hand

Mom - where?it's not doing anything

Me - by the window stuff and door lock.

Mom - oh. WOW. I'm going 102 miles per hour

Me - what the hell?

Mom -(braking) wait a minute...this feels too slow, we can't still be going 80 mph

Me - MOM, you flipped it to Kilometers per hour. Unless you're planning to drive to someplace that uses that, you better figure out how to flip my speedometer back (it's digital obviously)

I feel scattered. sigh. I'm almost finished reading everything for class except the manga and i forgot so much of what I have already read for that. thank god I've been saving manga pictures.

the henna darkened up some so I'm happier. Now, you'll be seeing Bob fest, Renn fest, clean apartment and kanda pictures for a week or more...

Speaking of which

me in chains. Mom takes horrible pictures. I didn't check it because it was so freaking busy. like she couldn't tell i was making a weird face and she had half a mile of foreground??

*traditional British hand gesture*

This is making me remember all those informative placards in the Tower proclaiming how rare torture was in medieval and Tudor England. OF COURSE the English didn't torture prisoners evah. We also didn't invade Ireland, we just went around for a cup of tea and they kept offering us refills. XD

snort. so all those iron maidens and the rack, those came from Europe (then again....they probably did)

The English came up with all sorts of fun devices. The rack is very ancient (I think the Greeks had it), but my favorite English torture device is the Scavenger's Daughter, in which a person is bound in metal braces that are tightened unbearably (and in arm breaking fashion), whilst being forced to support their weight in a crouch on the balls of their feet.

But the English didn't torture very many people in their tiny tower.

Yeah, the card next to that informed you that we never ever hardly ever used it. It was just there for decoration, man!

Dude, the Protestant government were no slouches in the UK in this department. If you haven't already, look up the story behind Guy Fawkes Night and behind the Great Fire of London (which was actually started by accident and for which some poor French Catholic baker was convicted of starting and tortured to death).

History is fun.

oh yes I've looked at both of those before (especially given the timing of the Great Fire, used that in a story in the 90s)

Sadists had it good back then, they could work for the government/church

I WISH IT WAS 90 WHERE I AM. ;_;

I would kill to live in a dorm or something that wasn't fucking 20 degrees at night and even a zillion blankets are no help. -sadface-
