well for one, in spite of keeping time with pictures, I thought today was the 19th which meant i missed my blood work yesterday (they let me do it today, only a small bruise. wish i had remembered the whole pee in the cup thing was this time out) and I forgot that I should have worn purple. Sigh. It's not that I don't care. I just don't know where in time and space I am.

but the real whimper is from my knee. It was fine all day building stuff (i.e. stringing spider webs and hanging scarecrows) but I just went to get my tea and turn on the TV. I turned, my knee went out. I went to the floor. tea went all over the cat. He's upset but at least he kept teh rug from being stained much.

And for that matter, the elevator at work went rogue and slammed shut on my arm right in front of my students and it's swollen and bruised.

And then my new broadband from Verizon arrived, the broadband to end all my broadband issues and....it doesn't work any better than the piece of shit it replaced.

Did have one nice thing happen at work, a psych major asked me what other classes I teach because even though she's not one of my majors she wants to take more with me. Aw.

So L and I were stuffing the scarecrows. the only way to manuever in one of them was to go thru the pants. So there I am, hand up the unzipper crotched when one of the guys walks buy. 'looks like you know what you're doing.' oh if you only knew...

My nano group had a pre-nano party today. Where was I? Somewhere with my hand up a scarecrow's zip.





a volunteer sunflower growing in Rocky creek which rings around this apt complex on 3 sides like a moat...or a dry one at this point
