writerly ways
Dec. 12th, 2010 01:42 pmAdmitting you're sometimes an idiot is good for you. I know that someone on my flist and I both posted about Penguin books having an open call for novels (it might be passed at this point). I can't find it any place I would have posted it. Sigh. Anyone else remember it?
It was in my mind because I have edits from my writers group, my original fiction filter and my professor and I really think i can get the first three chapters of Machiavelli Moon ready to go. I'd take a change on the open call. However, I'm not that confident either since i DO have to revamp the ending. I seriously do. I keep saying that and I keep not doing it.
Other than that my brain has been overwhelmed by finals. Now that that's cleared out I'm staring the holidays in the face. Yikes.
I think in the light of all of this, I need to make some early new year's resolutions, edit a chapter of Mmoon a week and write at least 200 words of original fiction a day (not fan fic COM, original)
and for that matter edit up the two or three other short stories that just didn't make the cut and see what else i can do with them. Any ideas for markets for erotica shorts (One het, one gay)
yearly overall goal -
125548 / 175000 words. 72% done!

There's a community here on LJ that advertises open calls for anthologies and the like for erotica publishers that's really convenient:
Good luck!
