My rent went up 40$. I can't really complain too much here since that's the first time in 5 years it went up. I usually had that hike yearly

running over on verizon last month cost me 40$! WTF. Okay I need to a) call JB nets and see if I can get their satellite internet. even if they slow me down it's better than this or b) go to the85$ a month new broadband from verizon with 10 gig limit which was 15$ cheaper than what I just paid

time to look at my biggest expenses electricity and food. Once i get my syllabi/classes prepped I'll be putting up plastic and cocking the windows where they're leaking so i have that going for me

I can eat less. I wanna eat less (weight loss post coming soon). cats might need cheaper litter. I need to see if Krogers will accept coupons from online sites like www.couponsuzy.com or not (some places won't). I had 30$ in coupons today. go me

haven't heard back yet if my loan was deferred. I could still be getting sued for that yet

ETA - tried to pay sallie mae today. I always pay a few dollars over my loan amount it would NOT let me do it. I call them. as the lady is on the phone with me, i try it again so we can get the error message and the sucker worked. Oh bite me universe

When it comes to grocery shopping I find that it isn't the food that runs up my bills but the paper products/cleaning stuff. Man, that shit's expensive!

I've used online, printed coupons at Krogers and I haven't had any problems with them so far.

Yep, money woes have become the norm, it seems ):

My Kroger accepts coupons, and they even usually accept competitors' coupons, so check on that as well. I have to agree with sp23 though, it's usually the paper goods/trash bags/cleaning products/pet stuff that really makes grocery shopping expensive. It might sound tacky, but a lot of dollar stores (Dollar General, etc) have all the non-food stuff for waaaay cheaper. The quality might not be quite as good as the brand name stuff, but it gets the job done.

Money worries always suck. They add so much stress to day to day life.

With you on the weight loss - I'm currently on a proper diet for the first time in my adult life, after putting on over 20lb in the eighteen months since my wedding. D: Apparently marriage makes me fat? Either that or cake.

Yay paying more money for things? I just spent a lot of money on my car today. Poor car needs some love. I don't drive it enough anymore, but I also can't justify selling it since it's paid off and I literally can't take the van everywhere I need a vehicle. Oi.

Um, that came out sort of weird. I meant to say that I spend more money on my personal car now than I have in the past from it spending so much time sitting in park and not driving, so everything rots out super fast now, so it's become something of a burden to have despite not having the loan on it anymore. It's a 2006, so not some old beater that one would expect things to be rotting out of.

Money wors are not fun. Plus Sallie Mae sucks. I would have thought that since it's government sponsered the rate would be decent but it's horrendous. (Aaron took out a small loan from them last year.)
