the anesthesia wore off and all the prodding and poking makes me one sore person.

The cats don't feel so hot either. Kanda I think has a cold and I also think he's tired of Soul's chester the molester act. Sigh.

Hey anyone know any Japanese phrases that would be the equivalent of 'yay'? I could use one right about now for one of my stories.

Speaking of which [livejournal.com profile] bob_fish and [livejournal.com profile] spiderling should have Power to Endure and I'm about ready to send out a piece of Riding with Strangers. slow progress is slow.

[livejournal.com profile] wildrider sent me a cute virtual baby otter. thank you

I had more to say but i'm tired and hurty and trying to write. I only have 2K more to write to make the min. for my bigbang (FMA, I'm much further away for Saiyuki) and I'm trying to do original fiction. way too much bitten off this time.

ETA - anyone know, if a teenager was brought to America from Ireland because dad got a job here, what sort of paperwork would he have? Student visa?

"Yata!" I think works for "yay".

Poor Kanda.

Ew. Ew. To the pain thing.

You type in the (<) without the parenthesis.

Yeah, I agree with ELD. Yatta is the first and foremost word I think of for "yay!"

thanks. it's the one that came to my mind too

Yatta is probably the best. It's a celebratory kind of "We did it!" (or "I did it", "They did it", "You did it" etc.)

Banzai is also sometimes used.

Depending on the situation, you might hear someone say "Sugoi" which is an expression of being impressed. So it's more like "Wow!" But sometimes I hear the inflection and it's sort of a celebration of being impressed.

Ouch!

And I do have it! And I'm going to open it! It's on my to-do list! This week was a little crazy. I suck.

Oh, and no idea about the visa, sadly. Could you look up Prof. Wikipedia on US immigration law, maybe. A short term visit wouldn't need a visa in advance because you can get a tourist visa at the US border/airport. I'm 99% certain that the rules for the Republic of Ireland would be the same as for the UK. Of course if teenager and dad were from Northern Ireland they'd likely be travelling on UK passports. But I don't think it would make a difference. That was unhelpful, wasn't it?

I've sort of been missing Kanda's annoyed/put out glare.

I would think that he's visa would be linked to his dad's work visa in someway. I believe there is some family member provision or something, although I am not in the least bit sure.....
