cornerofmadnesstoday turned out lazier than I wanted it to. Got up another window's worth of plastic, worked on student loan bullshit, watched a horrible movie that I wanted to get back to netflix and graded homework.
Went to check on the progress of Soul's ear. The mineral seemed to be working though last night there was some issues. today, when I grabbed his head, I knew something was wrong. I could feel fluid moving. a huge pocket of brownish anaerobic pus came out of the worst ear (the other is all but cleared). SIGH. I'll be taking him to the vet. My parents had to take their cat. He got into a fight and had an abcess on his face and one above his eye they didn't even notice yet. geez
in good news I like southwest airlines and now I like them more
I DO have a few New Year's resolutions. One is to only borrow ONE book from the library to every three I read and get out of here. Started it today, vampires in St. Augustine. COuld be fun. Turns out to be pretty damn bad. Hell Now i'm really mad I can't find that Penguin open call link (which suggests it's over) since they published this mess.
The other resolution is to look into EVERY box in this place, one per weekend Put the contents into a file box should I need it or the recycle bin if I don't. Because it's getting ridiculous. Today's box had a newspaper article that had fallen into it, a pack of pictures (probably the last I took before I went digital) and reams of plastic packaging material. WTF? WHY would I even keep this? See what I mean?
5 minutes after emptying the box there was a cat in it.
here's the college i'll be taking my workshops at It looks cool. Any of my Canadian crew know anything about it?

ETA - I officially just sailed past the 21K mark on my FMA big bang which is where I had to get to qualify since i had some of it written prior. Now to figure out how to start wrapping it up before you know, next October

It sounds like he may have dug at it enough with his claws that he got a lovely infection in there probably pushed dirt and mites into it the scrape too. Blech. At least one of them cleared up without problems. The remedy usually works very well. Frodo's ears were very bad, and it worked really well, but he didn't get any infections from digging in them. Maybe we got treated him before he had dug at it so much. You did mention that Soul's ears seemed bloody.
btw, if Kanda and Roy play with him, it might be wise to put a couple drops in their ears too just to make sure they haven't got any in there to start spreading and growing.
