an awful night

My sugar wouldn't stablize. Several sugar pills, protein and four clementine oranges later it was still only 70. Of course I didn't check that until after I took the night time insulin. For those who don't have diabetes nor get these several diabetic attacks, let's me aliken it to 'drunk logic.' you do, say, think shit that would only make sense while drunk. These attacks are similar. It's how diabetics die. They can't reason things out correctly. Like, you know taking MORE insulin when it wasn't needed. sigh.

I managed to get about 3 hours sleep then the storm woke me up and that's when I learn how deep the scar of nearly dying in another ice storm went. Bit of a panic attack. Get up. Test sugar. STILL low. Eat bread, watch a little Spaceballs calm down, try to sleep, telling myself it's just regular rain not ice rain (and it wasn't ice), start to fall asleep.

Hello MIgraine. Get up. Try not to puke because it'll skew the insulin more. Sleep fitfully for another 3 hours, get up for work, sugar is well over 200 from the stress, feel like poopy, drag to work anyhow.

Found out that we have to have the schedule for next semester done this week BUT we just submitted to change our ENTIRE class offerings. great so we have to sign people up for classes that might not exist after a few weeks. whee.

Got home and the landlord finds me. i'm coming tomorrow not friday now to do that molding. Okay since friday turned out bad anyhow. BUT now i have to cancel my office hour and run home for this. I won't have anything moved. Sigh.

Called the vet to get Soul. He's NOT coming home today. So it's one of three things a) he was just as bad as I THOUGHT he was B) she wants him quiet and restful in his cage C) she wants to shut me up so she's keeping him longer.

There was some good stuff in the mail though, box of clothes including the fixed dress for my Chris cosplay (more brownish than purplish but i can NOT find a purple dress), a box of manga and a royalty check.

It's POURING. It's been raining almost non-stop for 24 hours. I know that's better than snow or ice but the creek is already cresting. pretty soon it'll be in my kitchen again.

You were right! It was April, and despite being ill and making your cosplay basically out of your wardrobe, you pulled it off really well. I especially love the ones at the bar.

I'm terrified of cosplaying. There's no one character I resemble in FMA so I shy away from it.

Oooh... Who else have you done? Cosplay is so intriguing. If I did anyone for AWA, assuming the funds magically appear in my account for it lol, I'd probably go with Riza. As much as I'd like to try for Kimbley or Ed or someone, my boobs are waaaay too big to bind.

Hope you're doing better soon. We almost lost Kenneth the same way. He went into a diabetic coma a few years ago, in the wee hours, and the only thing that saved him was his limbs hitting the wall as he thrashed, waking my sister up. He was unconscious, locked in a painful position, and making weird noises. We got an ambulance out there stat. Scared the crap out of us!

oh crap. sorry about all that, wish it was possible to know what makes it suddenly spike or go down like that...wish there was something we could do... I wish my dad would understand that if he doesn`t get his shit together he`s going to end up with full blown diabetes, and it will be awful.
