The daffodils are out

and sunnily saying it is spring. I love daffies.

THe kitties embarrassed me. Soul especially was horrible to everyone. Kanda eventually came around. Soul is a one person cat and ONLY in this apt. When i move this is going to be terrible. They spent the first two days huddled in their cage and refused to eat. Kanda warmed up. Soul didn't. However, she got them back into their travel box in record time. She said they leapt in like flying squirrel. They're now busy a) ignoring me b) running into the room to make sure I'm here c) ignore me some more.

I am a tad annoyed they didn't give Soul his vaccinations while he was there. no they waited until today and now he's asleep.

Wish I could be. Tired.

The recruiter came and so did my students. I was happy. I was so worried no one would show. I'm not sure they're terribly interested in podiatry. Watching the video made me sad. I miss my job. I miss being that person. I love the new school. It's gorgeous. they're in a place of beauty. I had to dodge 9mms. Whee. However, this clip will be part of a documentary on Discover. I'll let you know when it's on.





this is Primrose school. I guess it was a school in the 1800's/early 1900's, then a church and it's been boarded up almost all my life (and it's in pretty good shape considering that). I WAS going to take a pic over Christmas when it was still all boarded up and I came home to find out they're reclaiming it and making it a museum

M, the very pregnant secretary, is getting me some daffies out of her yard, as I don't have any. I need to take pictures of the daffies across the street from the office, the farm has a row on two sides of its property that is foot-wide daffies.

Yay for new life for old buildings!

Soul MIGHT come around, if you move and he gets settled in with you and familiar things. My old cat Lester never could adjust to moving up here, but at least I was there with him, and that made things all right.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about that. I take two different medications to combat my allergies, but I hate winter so much that I happily live with the side effects -- and those times when the allergies overcome the meds.

I like the photo. It makes me happy to see old buildings being saved. Also, for what it is worth, my Dad and most of his siblings attended a one-room schoolhouse until mid-to-late elementary school. Later on, one of my maternal uncles lived in it. :) A few years ago, he moved and rented out the property and the assholes burnt it to the ground. Bastards.

We have some daffodils coming up, but not quite in bloom yet. the buds are swelling on them though. I'd better get some crocus bulbs this fall though. It was weird to have daffodils before croci.

That old schoolhouse is really cool. It's awesome that they're reclaiming it. Around here, in this neighborhood we have quite a few houses that are boarded up. People who don't know the neighborhood might drive through and think the neighborhood is trashy or something. But we who live here know that the ones that are boarded up are being preserved so that they can be restored. Loads and loads of beautiful old homes have already been restored and pretty much any house that has boards is slated for restoration by one of the various companies that does it.

I'm laughing at you for your kitties embarrassing you by not being perfect little loving gentlemen while they were boarded. I just take Star with me if I'm going to be gone more than a couple of days. If I'm only gone for a couple, I put her on the auto feeder and waterer and she's fine.
