the sun heated this apt up to 78. Right now it is nearly 80 in my freaking apt. I'm sweating to death. Seriously. I practically need a coaster to sit on to protect the furniture. I do not want to go from heater to a/c with no in between.

It's made me ill all day. I've been on the couch nauseated. i'll adjust to it won't be this bad but it's terrible. My uncle has the same issues. He was so swollen up from the heat that he had to have benadryl.

And thanks guys for everything earlier. I appreciate it.

I did have some good news at Krogers. Between Krogers card and coupons, I had 35$ worth of coupons. Whee. Mom always does say I could squeeze the buffalo off the nickle. I took the money and got a bissel sweeper for bare floors at Big Lots.

1. I needed this since my other bare floor sweeper is at a min. 15 years old and isn't sucking well and the cats fling litter everywhere.

2. Bonus to Bissel for using formed cardboard that's recycleable to package and NOT styrofoam.

3. Found out why it was 30$ at big lots....i need to be sure there isn't more paperwork blocking up the works but it doesn't work any better than the 15 year old one. might be going back.

To Do List from Hell.

Scully knocked my socks off. I was in the middle of a hellacious residency with 36 hour work shifts and I STILL made time to watch Dana and Mulder weekly. Smart, snarky and brave, what wasn't there to like. Oh right, her skepticism that went on a tad too long but other than that, she was a wonderful character and I wish the show had ended strongly rather than going on whimpering to a prolonged death.

this is the last of this series for a while. This reminds me of my cousin's place only this is a bit bigger and my cousin's place doesn't have the cool entryway

That house looks like how I imagine "Generals' Row" in the Waugh District in WIP. :)

YUCK to heat swelling. I take 4 Benadryl most nights... for sleep and because of the dust, possibly mold in Mom's house.

I about died in the most recent NCIS. :) Abby gets "itchy" when she's nervous! I do too! My fingers swell and if I let it go long enough I break out in hives! (So this is good I suppose... )

feel free to use the facade.

ugh ugh to the benadryl

I forgot to record tthat one. Really? I get the nervous hives too. ha.

Abby called E.J. "tiny". :) So funny... EJ, standing next to Abby and then Gibbs next to Abby. Mark Harmon is tall. :)

The itchy just made me giggle. William and I laugh that I need to own stock in Benadryl/the generics. I go through 100 in a month... at least.

I only "got" the NCIS since I bought the season. I try to avoid watching television at the house. It's just easier to Hulu, Netflix or iTunes. My laptop screen is pretty much the best one in the house. A BIG laptop with good LCD. Best I get is 20 inches or slightly bigger... behind a haze of dust and with a wall of clutter to keep me away from it.

hahaha yes he is

benadryl doesn't agree with me and honestly clariton/zrytec seem to do diddly

nods nods, i loathe watching tv shows on the computer screens. i only do it if i must.

I don't like any of those "awake" allergy medicines. Possibly the placebo effect, but a good amount of water, a lukewarm scrubby shower and Benadryl and powder do a lot of good for the itches. I think a nap on clean sheets would likely do the same.

I would get hives from the cold in hs, but when I hit college orientation, it went into overdrive. I got home from orientation and had hives on all joints and in the feet and hands... and then on my face.

Hooray for the ER? Epi, steroids and MASSIVE amounts of antihistamines took it down.

It could have been a contact allergy, maybe grass? But likely, I'm "allergic" to my own stress hormones.

SO Abby getting itchy? Funny as hell. Living at home I'm itchy all the time. Generally it's only a few times a week or seasonally.

Yay for seasonal allergies AND general stress? It's likely bad that I learned that 100mg of Benadryl is "nothing".

I LIKE watching TV on my laptop, but it's just in reach of my bed... and in the "clean zone"... so my opinion is swayed. ;) I like everything better at Janice's.

benadryl hypes me up. I have the wrong reaction to it. oops. that's me in the heat

i would go at my skin with a cheese grater right now if i could

nods nods, i also do not watch tv in bed as that trains the brain to do something other than sleep there and contributes to insomina

Scully is awesome. I think she more or less spearheaded the intelligent female partner in T.V. I adore her.

I need to make myself a list of to-do things, as well. And figure out what I want to do for [livejournal.com profile] fmagiftexchange, while I'm at it.

I laugh at your 80. It passed 90 here today, and we went directly from heater to AC weeks ago. There's supposed to be a cool front coming in a few days, though.

We'll have to nominate you for that Extreme Couponing show. There's a reality show for everything now, isn't there?

you know how I hate to sweat. There were reasons I hated living down there so much.

really? there's a show for that?

We've already had a day over 100 -- and yet, yesterday (Saturday), it was 47 in Phoenix at around 1:30 in the afternoon.

Scully did indeed rock.

This time of year I swear I switch back and forth between the heater and the AC so much. It's like I can never get it just right. Ah, Spring.

Good luck with your to-do list.

I am with you on the effects of heat. When the temp's over 85 and the humidity is over 75, my body blows up and my brain shuts down. It's an affliction.

Didn't know you were a couponer. Interesting.....

Don't do to-do lists; that way lies madness.....
