Seriously, this can stop any time now. Go rain on Texas. It's burning to the ground. They might like the rain. Levees are giving way all over, half our soccer field is under water. It's getting seriously dire around these parts. And it's supposed to be worse tomorrow. Yikes.

All I did was sit for hours in the formalin filled lab while my students suffered thru my lab practical. I am so sad I said no comprehensive final because these people DO NOT know the heart. I mean my god, they were giving me arm/leg/face muscles for things that were obviously heart valves and main vessles of the mediastinium. I don't care what branch of medicine or type of coach you want to be you HAVE to know the heart anatomy. It's basic crap.

I got home with hours of grading to do but do I get to do it right off? hell no. My cats for reasons known only to themselves dragged their food mat AND their food, into the living room. They dragged the mat nearly 11 feet. I measured. I don't even want to know why. I had to vacuum up the mess. I think someone needs to learn to swim in the swollen creek.

THen I noticed the living room ceiling fan's motor had burned out. SIGH. I've been here less than 6 years and this is the third ceiling fan I've needed. Dudes, quit buying cheap shit!

I just wanted to use some slightly newer, less seen art for Riza. THere is so little out there that isn't all dour or just plain weird. I liked these.

I have a lot of backstory for Riza. I have for the last six years given her all sorts of history, recreating as the story went and I kept getting jossed. I think she's a great character. I love playing with her back story (and by extension, Roy's). Check out my memories if you want further proof of this. There's tons there, badly organized but there you go.





Here you go, the food on its trip into the living room. The black thing at Kanda's feet is the purple food mat. Soul's eyes prove his demonhood. Obviously it wasn't easy dragging it this far. Note the clumps of lost fur on the rug. Don't know what the random hunk of paper is all about

Dams giving way in Southern Missouri, towns flooding...evacuations in full force...Southern states are being targeted by tornado after tornado. rain to the Eastern states. Oh and the Western half of NY has been under warnings and watches for a few days now.

SERIOUSLY? WTF is going on, and who's been playing with the weather machines? They need to be taken behind the wood shed and thrashed til they can no longer stand up.

Rain! We're under tornado warning warning here. Two have touched down already within 15 minutes of my house. Ah, well.

They suck at the HEART, of all things? When I was learning heart stuff (that and the veins/arteries were most important for what we do), I just taught myself a bunch of rhyme schemes to keep it all straight. Maybe they should do that?

Spock does that too. Only with his water bowl, though. I walk in and never know where it might be. It ticks the dogs off.

I got woken up in the wee hours a couple times from the storm that went through our area and it caused all sorts of problems that it took me two hours to get to work..and I live 15 mins away. Between flooded roads and exit ramps from the Interstates... so was ready to call it quits and go home.
