with some agita. I woke up and thought wow, it must be 6 AM or something. No it wasn't. It was just that dark with storms. I sat around home just waiting for that big butt storm to be done with. It was 20 degrees cooler (thankfully).

Finally I went to collect the cats. Mom helped. Kanda wasn't too hard to corral. We got him in the box and he kept flinging himself on the sides, rolling it over. mom and I were laughing so hard. Soul on the other hand started crying the moment I peeked under the bed. We weren't even grabbing for them. We waited, watching TV for a half hour before trying for them. He was a pain in the ass to catch and when I got him. He did this



This could actually cost me my surgery if any of these get infected. I have to be very careful of them. The drive here was painless (okay I lied my leg hurt but otherwise we're here). My plants are alive. I had strawberries for dinner. Roy visited briefly. Spiders were in my sink and tub. Soul is now very happy to see me and won't leave me alone. Kanda is under the futon. go figure

2. help_japan for marlex nothing. OMG, I have no idea why.I think the hang up is I know that this will be a short story. Half tempted to say hey give me another prompt and get two smaller stories
3. help_japan for seatbeltdrivein @ 50% done
4. help_japan for wintersqueen several disjointed scenes (sex, yes indeed) but nothing in a coherent plot line
5. helpthesouth, Star Trek story, thoughts occuring, writing not so much
6. fma_slashfest, picked three, someone slap me
7. fma_ladyfest waiting on prompts
8. 'home for the holidays' - started a Temple/Li, Caleb/Agni scene, no plot, just Temple and his talents mouth so far

11. June 17th, get one year older with grace

And it turned out it was a dead heat between castle, china town and butchart so I'm going with the castle

Soul is a home-body and Kanda likes to travel, apparently. That might be what freaks Soul out about being put into a carrier--he's very attached to home, it's traumatic to be moved to a strange place, and getting moved to a strange place is _always_ what happens when you stuff him in the carrier. He might really be better off being left at home with a cat-sitter to come in and feed/clean up after him.

Wow, that entrance is (a) pretentious and (b) a lot of wood. A _lot_ of wood. I wonder how much of the wood is local--BC is covered in trees, but I wouldn't put it past homesick/nationalistic Victorian Scots to import wood from the auld sod just because.

Yep-yep, saw the stone lantern. I meant to reply to that and say that with such gorgeous subjects to shoot, you could put together a pretty damn professional-looking calendar if you wanted to. It would be nicer than any of the Japanese garden calendars I saw earlier this year, of which I bought none (went for a modern wood-block artist instead, and a 75%-off magnetic poetry calendar with a magnet board attached so I could stick my own magnetic poetry kit onto it).

Ouch over the scratches. My cat tends to do that a lot to my mom and I. Luckily neither of us were infected, so hopefully you won't too.
