weight off week 23

yes, a day early. Tomorrow I have a four hour round trip out to Marietta and back to get mom so she can be with me for my surgery.

Amazingly with all that I ate on the trip I didn't gain (all that walking). I did gain back up to where I started in january but i had to up my insulin to help with healing. That happens.

Right now, I'm not worry too much about weight loss though I'll be keeping this weekly blog up and will probably be back with low-cal recipes. However, for me this is becoming a recovery blog. You can kick my ass if you don't hear me doing what I'm supposed to be therapy wise.

I'm not sure when/what/how my therapy will go. If they get in here and it's not as bad as we fear, then therapy will only be a few weeks and I can go back to weight loss and all that. if it is as bad as we think, it'll be Christmas before I'm freed from therapy. I'll need the support to make it through.

One of my cheapo ones from Big Lots is still alive; the other is one the lawn dude ran over twice. So.

These roses are big enough, they're noticeable. The others were little bits of twigs, as I'm sure you know.

Oh, I'll be digging that...whatever's left up and giving it a proper burial. It's not survived being run over twice.

And, the other two roses are large enough he'll see them.

Good luck on your surgery! Obviously I hope for the lesser recovery time, but either way I hope you start to feel better soon.
