the anxiety creeps in on cat feet
Jun. 11th, 2011 10:07 pmIt kept me at the computer all day just playing around trying to keep from thinking. I remind myself that this is going to be a hard few months ahead of me and I should be a little worried. Also if I hadn't let the apt go to hell, I would have less to do now but oh well.
At least I got the clothes washed and the plants planted. Holy hell all the rain has made my garden INSANE. Did I mention I bought a tomato (heirloom) called Bradley? how could I resist. Wrath is now in his container. The only tomato I put in the ground looks like hell. The container ones look good. I miracle growed Newton the fig to give him some iron (thanks
rahirah).
Mom will be here tomorrow. I have to go get her. It also means I can't go to a funeral for a former faculty member. She died of cancer this week. Sad since I liked her.
Hey,
silvrethorn reminded me I DO have the map to Craigdarroch Castle. Last night's picture was the drawing room.
Go check out all the cool Royai day stuff. (I'm trying to do up one more thing for that). Speaking of which, check out One Night at Madam Christmas’s
bay115 wrote it for me for
help_japan and it's Royai (thank you)

My boys hanging with Mustang

the neighbor's cat. Not sure his name. He just moved in. He hates Roy and wants in my house badly. He's very sweet otherwise

MOST of this isn't weeds for once. My perennials are now so big it's crazy. Oh there are two elm trees in there that need to die now and there are of course weeds but there are hollyhocks, foxgloves, tomato, hostas, lambs ears, wormwood, roses, day lilies, asiatic lilies, flaming spirea, st john's wort and stuff i can't even remember at this point

Date: 2011-06-12 02:13 am (UTC)I thought animals weren't allowed in the bedroom. Hmmmmm. That's a change. XD

Date: 2011-06-12 02:17 am (UTC)they aren't. I left the door open for circulation and that's where I found them.

Date: 2011-06-12 03:34 am (UTC)They look very serene - cats have no guilt.
BTW, we have our fingers and cat toes crossed for you. Small sacrifices will be made to Bast for you. I'm thinking a toy mousie and a spider or two!

Date: 2011-06-12 04:22 am (UTC)cats know little about guilt and it's fleeting

Date: 2011-06-12 01:36 pm (UTC)I have to get a queen sized bed so I can sleep on it when the cats decide they both want to sleep with me. I have a feeling though that when it's cold, I'm still going to be squeezed between two fat asses. LOL

Date: 2011-06-12 09:56 pm (UTC)Drawing room makes complete sense--it's a room for formal entertaining, and that room is definitely formal. Figuring out what Victorians used all those rooms for is going to be an ongoing challenge for the restorers. They lived so differently from us that it's hard to get an intuitive sense of how they used and furnished those rooms.
Silly cats. They know the best place in the house when they see it, and cats always go for the best place and make it theirs.
