It's th longest day of the year and sure felt like it. Happy start to summer. i celebrated by not leaving my air conditioned cocoon except twice.

I had my first full pain and torture physical therapy session. it wasn't bad. is it wrong i kinda like the electrical stimulation?

went to see my 'aunts' mom's best fiends. S1 doesn't look too good but better than she has. that said i doubt she makes the year

watched subpar anime and typed a lot on my netbook. so bored.

That head in semi-profile in the mirror is kind of creepy.

OH GOOD. I thought it was someone live, and it was really creeping me out.

IMAGINE WHAT THEY GET UP TO AT NIGHT, WHEN EVERYONE'S GONE FOR THE DAY.

I caught about half of an episode of Futurama on The Cartoon Network last night. It was an old one with the Head of Richard Nixon being carried around by Headless Agnew who kept roaring like the Frankenstein Monster. I'd seen it before, of course, but that still made me laugh and laugh.

They probably play soccer with the heads, and exchange them to the consternation of the docents.

Longest day of the year has concluded with some air conditioning, although they still need to replace the compressor on the roof. Hallelujah.

Sorry for the PT pain. I hope it will all be worth it once your arm is healed.

Pretty room!

I'm trying to be surprised that you got off on the electrical stimulation, but failing. You would have been a good Victorian--all those electrical "health" gadgets to play with, and you could order them right from Sears with no questions asked!

I've asked Frank Dollar if he felt at home in any of those rooms you've posted pictures of (yes, asking characters questions is creepier than those headless mannequins, but Frank does answer me). He keeps saying no. We finally pegged why when we looked at this picture, though. Frank says it's way too _bright_ in those rooms. Where are the curtains? The heavy, plush curtains that all Victorians swathed their windows in to keep out the evil sunlight that rots and fades rugs and upholstery? Frank is disturbed that these people think so little of their furnishings that they're letting sunlight ruin them ("climate control" does not enter the equation here, obviously). This is not the eternal half-twilight of house interiors that he remembers. We moderns are used to a level of light that actual Victorians couldn't begin to imagine.

E-stim actually does feel good. It's supposed to. It was one of the first treatments I could have after my car accident in 2006, before the doc could even start adjusting all the places that were knocked out of place (spinal, shoulders, and ribs! OW OW OW!) I was in SOOO much pain, and the E-stim helped immensely those first few days until I'd healed enough to put some of those rib heads back in place and move on to fixing other things.

So the short answer is: No, I'm not surprised that you kinda liked the E-stim. hahaha. Didn't you need a pleasant surprise?
