still plateaued and for that matter have b een so busy that I haven't even found time to do my PT. This is doing no one any good.

No recipes or other weight loss thoughts other than surrender sounds good.

Went to see grandma today. I have NEVER seen a woman this dead set on being the center of attention. She'd ask a question, mom and I would answer it or discuss a questions. "I DID NOT INVITE YOU HERE TO TALK TO EACH OTHER. GO HOME IF THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO."

My SiL gave me kitty ritalin for Soul. The vet gave it to her for her cat when he was peeing outside the box (He has a UTI) so if no home has been found for him then I'll try it.

Another question for FMAcrew to spare myself painful CoS research. Who were the villains in this (the woman and her crew), Nazis? Another group?

Also I feel like a butt for jumping all over those memes knowing I have no time to reciporcate.

I am so, so very guilty in participating in memes and not reciprocating. :(

I haven't had much luck with weight loss either. I am going to try a soup and salad diet with diced fish or meats at times in the salad and see what happens. The other thing I am going to try is buying only five edible things from the market per trip, so I am not overbuying and then rushing to eat stuff before it expires.

Oh god, I know, aren't the damned plateaus the most frustrating things in the world? I'm eating the same goddamn amounts of the same foods I have been eating all along, if not less, why do I keep bouncing around within these same three - four pounds? I am so sick of these numbers, I want to throw the freaking scale out of the window. It almost tempts me to just eat whatever the hell I want for a couple of weeks, risk actually gaining a few pounds, and THEN go back to eating the same lower level, to see if I can get my metabolism to hit some kind of RESET button or something. It really is aggravating.

If I understand your question correctly about CoS, she - Dietlinde Eckhart - was the leader of the Thule Society, which was an occult society in Germany in the early 20th Cent. tied in with the Nazi's later on. To save you looking it up, here's the Wikipedia first paragraph:
The Thule Society (German: Thule-Gesellschaft), originally the Studiengruppe für germanisches Altertum ("Study Group for Germanic Antiquity"), was a German occultist and völkisch group in Munich, named after a mythical northern country from Greek legend. The Society is notable chiefly as the organization that sponsored the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (DAP), which was later transformed by Adolf Hitler into the National Socialist German Workers' Party (Nazi Party). There is no evidence that Hitler ever attended the Thule Society.[1] But there was great enthusiasm among Thule members for Hitler, most notably Rudolf Hess and Dietrich Eckart. The occultists believed Hitler to be the prophesied “redeemer of Germany”. They were Hitler’s first “disciples” and as such were crucial to his meteoric rise.[2]

and Dietlinde Eckhardt was intended to be an AU version of Deitrich Echhardt. I think so that the cast wouldn't seem too androcentric? Maybe? She was a crazy bitch who took the concept of fearing and wanting anything different from her to an amazing new level. When she passed through the gate to Amestris, she was partially coated with gate babies. I don't know why... but they made her even more nuts.

Once she understood where Edward was from and what he was, she told him that he was a monster. (in retort to Edward telling her that his people were just like hers, that they "lived the same, died the same".) She hated Edward and his world for his alchemy, even though her 'magic' that she'd studied extensively, actually worked once she crossed the gate, and she could transmute instantly without a circle or clap or anything.


She passed back through the gate and she emerged completely covered in gate babies so that she appeared to be some kind of terrifying monster. Hughes shot her thinking he was defending the people there, and then the gate babies all disappeared to reveal that she was Eckhardt after all. (just dead!)

I agree... she made no sense. she was the only historical figure that was that whacked out different from their real world counterpart. Like I said before... obviously in those days most of the movers and shakers of our 'modern' societies were men. Women were still expected to keep quiet and keep house, and maybe if they were still young and single, and had money to go out and dance with their fellas and smoke cigarettes on long stems and generally look cute and classy or something. So I gather that the producers though they should have a woman on the bad guy team. Other than the unnamed gypsies at the beginning, I think Noa and Gracia were the only other women in the whole movie... and Gracia's part was tiny.
