I hate days like today
Sep. 3rd, 2011 10:32 pmwhere it seems like you wake up, roll out of bed, blink and its suddenly dinner time and you've accomplished nothing and aren't entirely sure what in the hell you did that lost so much time. These days are hard on me being a workaholic and I'm sure that I must have wasted my time. Sigh. At least the laundry got done.
I forgot to mention last post that that was far from the first computer I've killed and that I have a little static energy discharger than IT gave me for my wrist. yeah. WHEE.
Kanda refuses to believe that it is too freaking hot to hold him and dammit you are GOING to hold him.
I started a new book that I have yet to discover if it's a slick gimmick or worth the read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculair Children. The story is woven around vintage photographs, creepy vintage photographs for the most part. I wish i had thought of that.
I didn't participate on literary nymph's labor day chat fest (they're a promo group for author) because a) I thought I'd be out of town b) I only have short stories and everyone else is promoing novels and well it makes me feel like a loser. I'm not saying that short stories don't count. Far from it. I'm proud of them. But I know that I could have had a novel out there if I spent more time working and less time fucking around online. More on that tomorrow.
I did get something out of the chat so far, the names of a couple publishers that aren't strictly romance. I'll share them tomorrow too probably.
back to the grindstone before I melt. today sucked. Ibet it sucked more than Az and their heat since it was 98 and super high humidity. I had to find my inhaler to breathe only to find out it was empty and it's been so long since i got one my RX is out. head desk. luckily i didn't need that bad. yeah i'll call on tuesday.
I'm debating if I want to do girlsavesboy ficathon this year. Willow and Tara are actually muttering at me (and god knows Xander needs saving half the time)

Soul, HOW are you doing that and why?

Date: 2011-09-04 02:37 am (UTC)Temp locally was between 102 - 105, with the Ohio River right there, pushing water into that air. We did go to the Wall, and I took a few photos. It was somewhat emotional.

Date: 2011-09-04 02:58 am (UTC)It was. It's much tinier than I expected. Still the letters written to the soldiers were heart wrenching.

Date: 2011-09-04 05:56 pm (UTC)I'm rather enjoying it. It's a neat idea.I love the old photographs and the storyline is just urban fantasy enough to keep me going. The one whine I have now is that the protagonist is 16 and it's first person pov. The language is a bit eloquent for a teenaged boy IMO
