ahh I see. I think I'll pass then. So much potential with the licking thing, but I hate when the heroine is generally useless *cough* Yuuki from Vampire Knight *cough*

yep that's why I quit buying VK (i'll bother if the library gets it). Yuki quickly degenerated into the helpless twit. Harada never even had a backbone. And it's obviously popular (I assume there are a whole army of girls who like this stuff) since Blackbird has 10 volumes or something like that.

You'd be better off checking out Dance in the Vampire Bund or Ghost HUnt

BoTL is where the PJO books really suffer from being only in Percy's POV. I'd already read spoilers for the series by the time I read the last two books, but you find out some stuff in the last book that maybe puts Annabeth's behavior in book 4 into context (it does for me, at least, and I've been meaning to write meta for a long long time connecting those two books, because Annabeth's behavior in BoTL is one of the bigger complaints I've seen in fandom). When I read it I'd spent the entire book fretting that she was having an actual psychological meltdown and Percy was off being a Dumb Teenage Boy about everything.

yeah there is often issues with tight pov's like that. I hate to say it but teenaged girls DO get jealous easy in my experience but that didn't make me like that any more.

I liked the story over all but yeah that was annoying
