It was just north of Circleville as I was driving home. It was so close (well no of course it wasn't) I thought it would hit the car which would have been kinda cool if I could have gotten the tektite.

I saw the surgeon today and he did touch me. For that matter, so did his Indian resident (which if he's a resident means he's in his 20's and I'm still okay with that.) While he is happy that my motion has improved, he is not feeling too confident they didn't miss atear (they thought it was torn but in side it didn't show up and I've seen the photos and there is nothing there). Or that there is scar tissue at the site of the tendinesis. I suspect this is the problem since i pointed to the place of most pain and he said that's exactly where we put the tendon. I need to keep up what I'm doing since I'm improving. He'll have to do an MRI if i don't improve by next time.

I tried to find a restaurant a friend recced, DaVinci's. I found the area but not it. I'm wondering if the new place Nicole's has taken its place. I was more lured in by the korean/japanese place but decided it was likely to be expensive and since I can hardly taste I went to Its Greek to Me then to the Asian market next door. I got some cool stuff. I went to Trader Joe's as well and got three neat cheeses, a semi-soft Italian cheese called toscano expresso with a coffee bean sweetish rind, 1000 day old gouda which is salty and yummy and a triple creme brie le delice du bourgogne.

I went to B&N and I'm definitely not getting their card now that Borders is gone. I was just in this one 6 weeks ago and the manga section was four cases long. Today it's down to TWO. Whatever B&N.

Today my upper respiratory infection went from viral to bacterial suprainfection. whee. thank god i have antibiotics. let's hope I get this nipped in teh butt before I get pneumonia again.

B&N offered me 30% off of something or other in today's email. I'll have to look at it, but I can't afford anything at this second.

I meant to tell you recently (your mention of the Korean/Japanese restaurant reminded me) I went to a Korean restaurant with the girls a couple of weeks ago and had bibimap for the first time. I am so in love with that dish! I am dying to go back there and have it again. The girls found the stone bowls at a local Asian grocer, and we are thinking of investing in some. Nom nom nom....

Sheesh, I'll be glad (and I KNOW you will be) when you finally shake this bug. Hopefully the abx will wipe it out for good.

Hmmm... part of what makes it so good is the crispy rice where it's gotten sort of fried against the super-heated bowl. I don't see how they could duplicate that with something frozen. But I might try it, though....

They moved the manga and Sci-Fi at mine into the corner and it looks like the manga there actually has more room because they were put on the super big shelves against the wall.

That sucks that yours has gone down though.

borders had a whole area for manga. This barnes and nobles actually removed half of it and put in a whole kiosk of Harlequin romances in their place. shudders

oh hell yes. i worked for waldens in the 90's and there were a half dozen if not more harlequin imprints (historical, religious, with kids, paranormal etc) and those women KNEW when we got them. they'd be there pounding the gates to get in. scared me

I do get B&N's card, but they have a fairly largish store near me and I can use the card to buy Xmas gifts. Besides, now that Borders is gone, B&N is the only bookstore in town that sells new books.
