I had to cut things short at work today and run up to Chillicothe to get my oil changed and realized halfway up there that I forgot to cancel the same apt in Athens, like a giant ass. I did get a coupon yesterday for a lube, oil change and inspection for 13.95. Naturally I get there and the computers are down and I might not get the oil change. I wait 1 1/2 hours for this (and only toward the end do I see that someone had the controller for the tv. I could have turned off Judge Mathias....) I look at what they did and relay that to dad and he's like isn't that pretty much the same inspection they would have given for 400$ had they called it the 30K mile inspection. Yeah pretty much.

I then went to the devil's work shop the hobby lobby and since crafts etc run about 3-6 months ahead, they had ALL their christmas stuff on sale 50% off. I got mom a big and a small Santa. She collects them and Dad doesn't allow for any more much like my brother doesn't allow his wife any more snow men for the same reason 'no storage'. So I bought her a snowman cookie dish. Bite me men.

Then off to big lots where I found more expensive than I liked christmas lights that I bought anyhow because they'r perfect for me. They're solar. That way when I'm gone my lights still come on.

I apologize to my FMA Bigbang artists. I've done literally nothing new in a month. And Enemy has informed me that I wont' need to do any writing until April if i decide to do the slash thing

Nerdist Christmas on BBCAmerica Must see this

Mmm, solar lights. I like that idea. :D

Yay for finding things that'll make the men nuts. MWAHAHAHA.

i do too but it was pricey, especially for Big Lots. it's 15 feet long and 15$. And I've had bad luck with their solar crap before.

it amuses me

Wow, $1 a foot, that's nasty.

I know why. :D

and that's in Big Lots. Can you imagine what other places are charging for this

There are solar Christmas lights??? AWEsome! I must find some!

there are but like I said, I have bad luck with those things when they're at Big Lots (i.e. cheap Chinese crap)

And they weren't cheap. 15 ft = 15$ but since i only have a small porch I hopefully only needed one set

Considering the trouble I have with cheap solar lights HERE, I can't imagine how they're going to work there. :) But I just put my Christmas lights on timers, that way they come on anyway. 24-hour timers at Ace Hardware, $4.99

I'm having trouble finding outdoor timers here and I bought the lights mostly because I can not yet lift the boxes of holiday stuff to get out what i already own

Ace also had a big outdoor timer with six sockets, 14.99.

now if only I had an Ace

Jerry's Do It center might have them but for this year, the point is still moot. I can't get the boxes down from the closet alone

Oh, well. Hopefully the solar lights will work!

well if don't I can probably get my money back. I just don't want them to work for a week then die. My parents have great solar walkway lights but they weren't cheap crap like this

apropos of nothing, I started reading your Link submission at dinner last night and was surprised by it. cool

hahha, I was surprised by Sean Patrick's love of chasing the dragon

Yeah, I wondered if that would catch people off guard. I wondered if I'd have to remind anyone what "Ring of Fire" actually only took up one week's story time -- not really a lot of time to get to know someone really well... :D

if it helps, it makes perfect sense. In fact where I get a little lost in my head sometimes is that I've read the other Sean Patrick story with Della's grandmother and I can't remember if it's before this story with Kid or immediately thereafter.

And it was only half Sean Patrick's story, Ring of Fire that is. I'm not sure I realized he was @ 19 forever, poor dude

That one takes place in the early 30's, so yes, it's before. That's right after he leaves Amanda in Cairo; by WWII he's been home in Texas for a decade.

there we go. that's even more context. Now I know Sean Patrick's lost a woman he loved (or two though I'm not sure he ever loved Amanda) by the time this is all happening.

Yeah, I have his timeline in my head; it's harder for readers when I drop stories here and there. I'd love RoF be published before I reveal any future stories, of course, but all these things that happened in the hundred+ years before RoF, fair game.

"Love" isn't exactly what he felt for Amanda, but... yeah.

Trust me with Sulien and Maddie, I know exactly what you mean. I would like to do a back story one for them in the 1800's but that is getting to be so over done which means I'll have to be non-lazy and research another time period or at least not use London...

Yeah, and I have to not do any more of Sean Patrick's "meets a girl" stories -- I was looking at my Nano and except for the sex (which there isn't any in this one), it's essentially the same story as the one I posted in my blog with a different setting and supporting characters. :P

oops.

that reminds me I want to print off some of the one on the blog and look thru as promised

hahah, my dad says the same thing. My mom collects Santas, Snowmen *and* nativity scenes. They had to buy one of those storage sheds that look like playhouses to keep just the Christmas decorations. My dad tries every year to stop me from buying my mom more "Christmas Crap": "She's 74 years old. What are you going to do with 113 santa clauses when she dies?"

"Ebay, Dad. Ebay."

hahahahaha they have that same storage barn stuffed with mom's christmas crap.

I keep saying I'm going to outfit Mom's coffin with her christmas lights

I was good and had Big Bang drafts due before NaNo this year so that those folk could take a break form fanfic to work on their novels without too much guilt. :D You gave them plenty of stuff to work on for November. You can get back to it now and feed them more stuffs soon. And then write all sorts of slashy stuff after you pass your final draft in. XD

hahaha you have such plans for me.

I really DO fear the big bang this year because I know how long it could get and can I concievable do it in less than 2 months.

I will consider the slash. I just started my fma santa story and I have to consider the fandom_stockings
